Q: Time to switch from X Visa to Z Visa

Just started the process for obtaining my F.E.C. So that I can switch my X visa to a Z visa.  Can someone give me an estimate on about how long until I can expect to have to wait until I can legally work?  (Average time until receiving FEC, wait time for visa...)

Depends on the employer's efficiency for I received that within 15 days that includes 9 days for posting it to my home country.

Was that switching a X visa to a Z visa? I'm down voting you for giving incorrect information.

I thought you needed 2 years post qualification experience to get a Z-visa/residence visa? Good luck converting.

Way back when, I switched from an L-visa (tourist) directly to a residence permit.  Took a couple weeks to get the FEC, including the medical exams and running around to gather various documents to submit.  After that, it took another 2-3 weeks to get the RP.  I'd say, best case scenario....a month.  But when does the "best case scenario" ever play out in China?  LOL good luck!
