Q: U think XJ terrorists would make exception for non-Ch.?
Recently I took the train, and in the train station I saw a XinJiangRen standing around, loitering. I watched (from the balcony above) for maybe 5 minutes, like "is this f****r about to attack?". In the end he left and left a trash bag of food behind, which a railway cop quickly walked over to and examined. (obviously they were watching too)
Which got me thinking, if some terrorists started screaming "Allahu Akbar!" and slicing people in half around one of us, would they make an exception for us or would we "taste Allah's mercy" (what a sadistic womp) as well? Obviously a bomb would not discriminate, but I read DrMonkey say that XinJiangRen hate Han Ch. but not westerns, and they are not AQ, so do u think we are basically safe?

If the terrorists are organized by the 'CIHey' like in western part of Pakistan named as TTP then they will ask for Americans to get themselves out of the area and then say, 'Allahu Akber' and blow everyone out including innocent kids, women and elders there. Remember on May02,2013 The US choppers 'chopped' 30 of its grand ally Pakistan Army officers on the check post next to Afghanistan for they stopped the fleet of 45 alleged TTP scoundrels from getting into Pakistan. And moreover the weapon these scoundrels carry include the latest US made snipers, M16s and C4 explosives.
If they are just terrorists they will blow each and everyone over there like the one scoundrel did in California last evening by killing 6 and leaving others injured and 'sacrificed' himself.

That story seems ridiculous at a number of points, but I won't feed the trolls. That said, I do find the Indian authorities' claim that Pakistan is fueling terrorism and murder of 'infidels' in the NW of India more plausible than what u claim. On a side note, perhaps it is like karma that Ch. buddies up with Pak. and then sees a steady increase in terrorism. They do say the region is the deathbed of empires. But the question is about terrorist threat to westerners in China.

I see, well you won't take criticism against your "uncle" but Pak. has a 63 year history of genocide and ongoing ethnic and religious genocide (and yet you complain about "racism" for being investigated by UK customs). I met a family of Christian doctors who had to flee the country because of this. So this follows the pattern: people who criticize the US and its allies typically come from countries with far worse and ongoing records. Blame other countries all you want, it won't make your own country any less of a murderous bullying butthole.

This all has started after 9/11 when Pakistan government stepped forward to support US war on terror in Afghanistan. Since millions of people took refuge in Pakistan due to the war, there got the extremists a chance to destabilize Pakistan. More than 70000 Pakistanis are butchered by those miscreants and still goes on. What we got from fighting your war is a peaceful country torn up and thousands of people killed and crippled and yet we are contained as terrorists. That is the worst form of hypocracy from 'Uncle'. You should search for any such genocide before 9/11 and let me know if you find any. The 'Uncle' should stop playing a double role for we know she's not happy with Pakistan's ties with China specially over the 'Gawadar' port. Increase your study time and keep your utter patriotism aside while criticizing certain points.
The terrorism has become a dumb shit in the world leaving innocent people dead or cripple all their lives. Unfortunately, the powers are using this trend to dominate and destabilize their rivals. That is also true that Muslims are involved one way or another in all that shit but ironically the victims of this vicious crap are also Muslims in majority like in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Nigeria, Syria and so on. That indicate and is proven at times that third parties are driving them towards the dark side.

I think that terrorists have a bad habit of conveniently popping up everywhere someone needs an excuse to reduce everyone's freedom.

Yeah, then next post we're going to mock Chinese irrationality and pavlovian thinking. See the irony? Terrorists are not here to kill people, they're here to inspire terror to trigger irrational thinking. When you're afraid, you're giving up to your reptilian brain, and when you are giving up to your reptilian brain, that makes you a much more predictable individual. Advertisers use the trick all the time. Now killing innocents just happens to be the easiest way to achieve that, because it touches that very feeling we all share no matter who we are : the fear to die. Avoiding this or that group of people is not belief, it's just PR.
Now ask yourself the following question: who has the most interest in making you a predictable individual? Do Soldiers of Allah really pop up first?

No but they have terrorized their way around N Africa Europe all the way over to ythe Phillipines, and I recall a quote attributed to G. Orwell: "people sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". I think youre right in a sense (in my home country I feel more violated by the massive security state apparatus) but there is also a genuine threat. I previously visited some areas in another part of Asia with a similar insurgency/terrorist threat, but found that targets were police/military/business interests, and I did not feel threatened (but did have some bomb near my hotel). Also there have been several arrests of ME suspects in final stages of attack planning in Bangkok, and those were targeted against westerns/Israelis. But you didn't answer the question, did you?

That feeling you had seeing the XinJiang Ren... I guess a lot had that after 9/11. I did too on a flight to Heathrow not many days after.... but then I remembered that those who really look like terrorists probably aren't.
