Not really, but sometimes. Usually the harem was a mix of daughters of the nobility and random pretty girls. Usually a daughter of a favoured noble family would be chosen as the "primary wife", whose son would be the hier to the throne *HOWEVER* if you look at how the system worked in practice, favoured families came and went pretty fast, hiers came and went pretty fast and that title pas pretty much meaningless as that person would rarely make it to the throne, primary wives were frequently switched around, and it wasn't considered a dynastic break if a distant relative of an Emperor inherited the throne, which happened quite a bit. Sometimes Emperors would ennoble a family because they really liked one of the pretty girls. Likewise, the Tang deconstruction of the old feudal system sort of made the nobility much more malliable than what you would find in Europe, and it stayed that way till the Manchus. So there wasn't as much incest as you would normally find, no.

Incest rights campaigner? You're just asking for it at this point, man.
by the way i am not campaigning for incest rights i just meant that some of the women in there harems where there Cousins and that it is still a common practice so it is hard to define whether they did or did not commit incest like Europe.
the right to marry your cousin is common in most of the world and i do not care ether way.

i mean you no bad flame wars suck and i do not want to start a new one.yes

One way to find out would be to read the 24 histories, in which the royal lines are meticulously calculated or, bearing that, just look in up on wikipedia, instead of just speculating.

I agree with kchur. Incest would be much more common in Europe because certain families would rule for generations upon generations. Because families would remain in power for so long, it was inevitable that they would intermarry many times. In China, each emperor had many wives. It was a whole different system.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
