Q: WeChat rage, have you noticed this? A friend would all of a sudden stop using WeChat

The excuse they'll use is something like wasting time but the real reason as some have admitted is that they're sick of seeing other's moments. Whether it be ex-boyfriends or other people's lives are just seem 'happier'.

Have you noticed this too?

I am seriously thinking of deleting all the grown women who post the stupid cat whiskers and rabbit ears enhanced selfies.

Endless photos of food I can deal with, but 30 year old women trying to look like Japanese aniimee characters makes me fear for the future of human civilsation.

The only reason I have not deleted them already is because I feel a soap opera desire to watch the next episode of their big fall out with their middle aged western boyfriend Smile

Meitu app is one hell of a drug for some. I lost count how many women In know who look 30kg fatter IRL than they do on their photos. I just don't see the point, they will have to meet people IRL eventually so why deceive in such a way on photos is beyond me.

Every six months or so I delete and leave chat groups. Then I try to go a week without wechat.

Being a member of too many groups is draining.

In my experience, best to have a small core group of constant friends. The stayers rather than the temp teachers.

I'm with you mate. Every festival i delete everyone i haven't spoke to in the past few months. And i disable moments all the time, especially for advertising spam. I do however, keep a few people i seldom speak to.

It is possible to disable/hide other people's moments.

earthizen:

Yup. I just checked mine, sure it is there.  Go to 'contacts', select the person, click the menu button, underneath it you find Moments Option, click and you find 2 further options, a). hide my moments from this person, b). hide this person's moment from me.

That's what makes this so interesting they react in extremes. They are obsessed with looking at others' moments and then they just go nuclear when their own lives don't seem to compare.

I rarely use wechat as I avoid mainlanders like a plague anyway.  Takers, thieves, scammers hookers, da mas......psychos.

Just recently I bumped into 2 young girls on the streets. They approached me and asked if I could buy them food.  I took them to the supermarket.  They were not hungry at all. It was a foot in the door tactic. Those two low lives initially even hesitated and refused to go inside the supermarket!  CCTVs. They vaporized within 2 minutes.  Not the first time either, another one such girl approached me a few months ago.  Identical tactic.  Hell, the same tactic used in the mid 2000s when a bunch of them approached me near the Shangri-la hotel in Lu Wu/Shenzhen crossing.

There is a pattern with these low lives. High school recent graduates, from some fucking poor provinces, the likes like Hebei, Henan, Guangxi.  All tell you they are looking for a job (a lie, to exploit your sympathy).  This is what I elicit out of them.

No change in this regard.  China mainland was and is a thieves and hookers den. The difference is these low lives used to ride bikes and they drive cars these days which makes them even more dangerous.

earthizen:

My point is, this sudden  vaporisation is very common among dalurens. They approach you with ulterior motives pretending to be friends, just like that low life who started the 'I want to make friends with you' thread, then talk about some personal problems to generate sympathy llike the 'I am hungry' excuse before dropping that stupid ad), then vaporise into thin air like thieves finding out there is no money to steal. That low life is probably a girl too.

This wechat stuff is done by the same low lives, with similar kind of motives, freebie English practices, or hooking for money~passport.

I'm referring to the decent folk (mostly), the ones I classify as true friends.

I know exactly what you mean by the ones who only talk to you when they need sth, then disappear

These 'decent people' I have met a few too. Most of them are closet wumaos who put on a facade. When they find out you know dalurens inside out they know it is only a matter of time before you see through their facade. They run off before you tear their facade off, ie before the volcano erupts.  Remember they are rats, and rats have born instincts that makes them the first ones jumping off a sinking ship.  They are crooks and crooks are trained to smell.

This is dalurens most common tricks, vaporisation is the way of banging the door in your face.

Take for example, those two low lives really vaporized in the supermarket. If they have the slightest manners there would be a goodbye but no, as I walked down the isle thinking they were following me they turned back and slipped out.  If I didn't know these low lives better I would have looked for them which was what they wanted, as vendetta for an unsuccesful con.  High school graduates, age 16+.  Guess what these low lives would become in a mere matter of years.

It was a high end supermarket and pretty large.  Instead of looking for them I continued my shopping and left. These really are the lowest of the lowest scums on Earth.

This type is also common, they don't like CCP but are nationalistic. If you say something bad about mainlanders they may not like it due to the face thing.

Can't comment on "WeChat rage" but I did notice a big drop off in Amurikans activity in Book-face about 1 year ago. Seems fairly common for social media. How's your Myspace page these days?

Englteachted:

I don't use facebook, I guess it could be similar.
