Q: what is average expense for single person living in XIAN
I will be living in XIAN for one year.Would like to know average monthly expense incured for a single person staying in XIAN
Can't comment on housing rental costs there bit normal everyday costs will be about the same as most medium sized cities in China.
You our might get an idea of rental costs and the local English speaking community here:
Rent about 1500 RMB per month,about 50-100 RMB for food a day.All depends on what you plan on doing here,
Xi'An is awesome. Well connected with the bullet train system so you can do lotsa 1, 2-day trips from there to Gansu, Beijing, Shanxi etc...
It's also a very cheap city to live, I don't think that your monthly expenses including traveling on the bullet train twice a month will go over 5000RMB a month.
