Q: What brand of tyres are the best for a car?

I have a Peugeot 207 and was wondering what brand of tyres are the best to buy?

Just remember that China still purchases items such as tires on a third-world level....

Old tired found in junk piles in the woods in America are re-cut to look new and sold here. There is no real standard. So it is more trust in the store that sells you the tires, not trust in the brand itself.

Oh yeah, and check the lug nuts afterwards. Went to a Good Year shop after having a flat one October holiday and they didn't tighten the nuts at all. The Chinese didn't even question the wobble until I could get them to stop on the side of the road and fix the problem before the tire completely came off.

Not sure what it is as I bought it second hand, I know it is 2 years old in November, it goes pretty good, power wise, but it doesn't have a badge for the capacity on the side. It has black vents on the passenger side bonnet if that is a help.
Tyres is the way we spell it in Australia otherwise we would go to sleep!! Wink

Cheeky bastard... Anyway the "Tires" I suggested should so well, it's a 3 door hatchback I assume? Do you mind if I ask, what did it set you back?

Alex66:

No it is not a hatch back. It's a four door. It's got to have a 1.6 motor because it has power, 5 speed and air conditioning. It cost me 60 K with 40,000 kms on the clock, no damage and insurance transfer etc in the price. I went to the peugeot place and the K's and services are correct. I thought it was a good deal because a new one with tax and insurance would of cost probably 85k although you may get a better bargain. Driving on the roads caused me to gain weight!! Also I bought a GPS ETO GS 505 650 rmb you can get english download for this one, Pin yin imput
