I'd say,DongGuan. One of my female friend has been there once and She lost her phone there.
So,it's not safe to go,I'd never go there on my own.

Everyone(I mean Chinese people) knows DongGuan is not a very safe place to go ,especially for girls.like houjie town.ask your Chinese friends who's from Guangdong or someone living there , you will find out.

I have been to DongGuan with my friends, and I really feel that way.

Believe it or not. It's up to you.

or you can experience it LOL

Good question.... i'm pretty sure China doesn't release these types of numbers. In other words, everything is fine, please move along Smile

I just asked my girlfriend though and she said "singging".  Not sure where that is but she answered the question without much hesitation so there must be a reason.

maggiegirly:

Singging? I am not sure either, where is that place ?  I never heard of it. even  I am a Chinese lol

Say it in Hanzi?

Yeah, not sure these numbers are released. At least not city specific.

If you can read Chinese, try checking out the tongjiju (Nat. bureau of statistics) website: http://www.stats.gov.cn/. You'd be surprised what kind of info you can find there...even if the numbers are likely "cooked".

Also check out these two links:

I'm told Xinjiang has a lot of crime.

Not to sterotype but I suppose it makes sense with the amount of muslims and it's close proximity to muslim countries.

It could certainly be viewed that way if thats how you want to view it. I didn't mean for it to be racist though.

But statistically there does tend to be alot of violence amongst primarly muslim countries. That's not racist or me trying to talk down on any religion or muslim person. But the numbers speak for themself. You look at any country that is primarly muslim and most of them have a large amount of violence and brutal regimes or a society that doesn't value certain human rights issues other places do.

I do apologize if it came off as racist, ultimately its up to you to think it's racist or not. My intent wasnt racist nor am i a racist.
