Q: What do you do on Friday night?
It's cold outside in Shanghai tonight.I just stay at home listening music and play my smart phone.And being a lazy Vicky 
What are you people doing on Friday night?
I reckon I might head down the docks, have a beer, and take a few photographs of prostitutes. They like nice photos to put on their wechat. And I enjoy drinking beer and taking photographs.
It also gives me something to do tomorrow night. I can spend time editing the photos.

I dream of a chocolate strawberry and a delightful photo with a "strawberry" and a one time enjoyable event at the docks. a 1 timer shown to the world with some great photography. from the docks.

I used to drink at an outdoor place that was next to a high end KTV. The best part was watching the girls going to work ...

This is a low end place Stiggs. I enjoy it. But there is a Greek crewed ship in tonight. So no photography :-( The working girls are great. The women here tend to be in the twilight of their carreer so we usually spend our time looking at photos of family etc. Yup. Chinese working girls are the salt of the earth.... well... the older ones are.

Photos or not, it sounds like a good day out. I like people watching too...

I miss camping too. I used to head out with the backpack often. Nothing to beat it.
Got some work done, finishing my third beer, hung out with a friend for a bit and chilling with the wife. Another day, another dollar.

Not sure what post you mean but we just got officially registered a few weeks ago so it's true that I didn't have a wife a long time ago, I had a fiancée.
Just relaxing. It has been a very crazy month but a very good way to start 2015.
I am getting my Chinese drivers' license on Monday. So I think I will study some of the more common traffic symbols so I don't look like an idiot. It was through guanxi, so they told me not to worry... that I would get it anyway... but better safe than sorry.
My wife told me it normally takes people like 6 months to a year on a waiting list to get a license so I wasn't quite ready yet. I just expressed a little interest last week and then all of the sudden my wife told me to go down and get it on Monday.

Do you have to do the test? I mean the computer test? The one where the computer randomly selects 100 of the 1000 questions at it's disposal and you have to get at least 90 or them correct?

You know foreigners don't have to go through the normal Chinese system of obtaining a license right? As long as you have a foreign driver's license you can just get all your documents together and go to the testing center to take the test. That's one of the few things that I think China actually does right.
I am drinking beer, not unusual I do it 2 or 3 times a month.
but I do have an issue tonight ..wife is out for tea with classmates
nephew has bee staying here ...he is 19

I suggest you find your local docks. Docks are great places to drink. But you need to find it yourself. Chinese dont know they exist. Well.... they pretend they dont...

Practicing and jamming on the the ukulele. Tons of fun, I love my ukulele so much ! I should buy a microphone and a sound interface to mix that on the computer... Ukulele + flute + my voice ^^

It was yet another 5 set affair between Joker and Stan. I backed Stan. He lost.
Now I'm just jerkin the gherkin...pullin the pud....floggin the dog. As per usual.
My wife thinks it's good that I look after my health.

Went out for a meal, haircut, then came home and played a board game with my gf. Bought some bootleg dvds but they're all 2 hours long so they'll have to wait for another day.

I need the Chinese subtitles (for my gf) so there's no point streaming from abroad. And the streaming sites in China force you to sign up. It's just easier if I'm passing a DVD shop to buy the DVDs.
Playing with a smart phone can easily be combined with huge amounts of alcohol. As the vision starts to blur, you simply use on hand to cover one eye, and presto, vision back to usable again.
WOW, that was Friday night!! WOW ... think i will do the same again, Saturday morning.
