Q: What do you like most about the Chinese society?

I like that they don't give a shit about being "politically correct" about everything except politics.

They will make crushing sacrifices for close family members without hesitation. There is nothing else to like.

Scandinavian:

yeah, and do zero for a stranger in desperate need. I find this to be one of the most horrifying things about China, the complete lack of empathy, the only reason why people help family is to help themselves.

What? Are we talking about the same country? They are PC about damn near everything. Don't confuse being rude with not being PC. When there is something that needs to be said directly they dance around the issue so much that you don't even know what they are referring to. Example, class was canceled, 'I'm sorry there were some changes that could not be avoided. I hope you understand about the schedule. There were changes, there was nothing I could do.'

Me: What? What changes?

Instead of just saying your blah blah class was canceled sorry.

Love for  family/ WTF you mean child neglect is sacrifice? Abandoning them to go work in another city is love? (I'm talking about leaving them on their own with no guardian)

Neglecting to spend a few bucks on grandma to get her treated because she is no longer important.

Scandinavian:

your task: learn to tell PC from fear of responsiblility !

It makes me realize how wonderful my country is.

I have never loved my home that much before, and it's not blind patriotism but very conscious love. Not a religious person by nature, atheist China made me realize how important is the basic set of morals brought by Judeo-Christian religions to our countries (e.g. charity is good, stealing is bad, ...).

Now I am only waiting in China for my girlfriend to finish her studies, then we will marry and start the administrative process to go there together, I already have a good job waiting for me, she should find one in her branch rather quickly since Germany lacks labor in that field.

Not too much.  China has proven to be quite disappointing.  Before coming to China I'd spent some time in Japan and Korea and, naively, I thought China might have at least some of the redeeming features of those countries.

But how wrong I was!  China has very little going for it.  Cheap beer that you're able to consume wherever you're standing is one good thing that comes to mind.  But then...the beer is piss and invariably warm.

The whole society seems rather sick to me.  Everyone lies and cheats and no one gives a stuff about anyone else.

All facets of life are mired in corruption and ineptitude.  Nothing seems to be merit based.  The laws aren't real, they only exist as part of the need to be seen to be real.

Worshipping the Money God is an imperative and the main reason everything is so fked up.

Actually it's the concept of face that is the real reason behind everything being so... so... I dunno...pathetic seems to be the word that comes most readily to mind.

A disappointing country that plans on bullying its way to predominance.  I think they're kidding themselves but heaven help us if I'm wrong about that.

There are some things I like about living in China but your question addresses Chinese society and that is something that needs a complete overhaul.
