Q: What government owned sectors are most likely to get privatized in China?

Will everything always remain under government control in China or progressively will certain sectors get privatized?

When you look at how far the U.S. has taken privatization, one could argue perhaps the Chinese government hasn't gotten it all wrong...

The Chinese Central Government has privatized much of their economy and decentralized much governmental control to provincial and local authorities in the last years.

As an example of their privatization efforts, one that shines is the emerrging health care system. Others being tried are the water supply, where in many cities has been transferred from government control to private enterprise, and also some of their broadcasting services, from newspapers, radio and TV stations going into private hands.

And what do I see for the inmediate future. I feel two areas will see a lot of privatization efforts, the electricity generating industry and the transportation industry in general. And maybe, to some extend, the educational system, but under close supervision from Government.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is 'Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer; 2. Employer applies for an Invitation letter; 3. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
