  Venting. I make up daft insults and aim them at whoever made me angry, though usually under my breath. With the wife it often ends with us laughing, as we make up the most insane, outlandish and offensive insults possible until there's nothing left to do but laugh at the absurdity of it.

I typically only get angry when I have to go shopping. 

Never get angry is the easiest, when you do, try to figure out why something has made you angry, often it will turn out it is just not worth it. I think in my lifetime I have only so far experienced one thing that can still make me angry. All other things I am cool with. If people around you make you angry, find better people to be around. If it is people at work that make you angry, just let it slide, when you leave work don't have a stupid remark from a coworker ruin the rest of the day. 

I literally turn and walk away. physical distance between myself and whomever/whatever is riling me up usually calms me down pretty quick.

but sometimes I vent too.   I think a lot of Western folk are taught not to bottle up feelings. I have lashed out at people for what I considered to be offensive behavior. My Chinese gf was surprised; tells me not to act out.  So, odd behavior to her is normal to me, and normal behavior to me is odd to her...   welcome to the crazy world....   

I go onto websites, pretend to be Chinese and say bad things about China.

I just walk away, try to have good long sleep, then wake up fresh again.

Then have a relaxing ride bike ride back... unless I get a refill on the coffee, then its a quicker caffeinated ride back.

  Here's a marvelous relaxation technique: Imagine the scenario, your boss is on your case, nagging you and making you feel small. Frankly, I stare down the person that has pissed me off and reflect back on what I used to do in Iraq when I was an angry solder. Nothing quite quenches your thirst for angry outbursts like the violence of warfare. Having several lifetimes worth of violent memories is very empowering. Though, I've know several people that haven't been able to handle such memories in their civilian lives. For me, it's all just a matter of focusing all my rage onto that person and imagining what would go down back in the day. Easy solutions...
