Cramped dorms at night and the smell of a large communal poo in the morning.

siyingyuan:

Oh yes, I remember that. We had 4 girls in a room, and believe me, that's luxury!!! And public bathroom/shower room, crowded with 100+ naked people (men and women separated). I'm not comfortable in those public bathroom though. Due to my poor eye sight, I can't really see any naked body clear, while they can see mine!! That's unfair. :p :(

undegrad- 6 people a room. no a/c
post grad- 4 people a room. no a/c
Rooms have no hot water. A lot schools, the students use flasks to get water.
A lot of going to wangbas(internet cafes) to play videogames.
A lot of ridiculously played out relationship drama. fights, tears, tantrums.
A lot of whoring by young pretty girls (mainly English majors) to sugar daddies.
A hell lot of unrealistic studying. Overnights in classrooms and libraries.
A lot of silly non-fruitful way-overdone on-campus pro-community activies and clubs. Save the whales. Save the sharks. Save the dogs. Save the trees. Save the leaves.
A lot of porn-watching and video game playing by the boys and very little girl-courting.
A lot of socially conscious and rare-to-find non-racist, non-discriminatory, non-retarded and intelligent chinese people.
A lot of very weird English.

in my town its the art majors with chinese businessmen , english majors here are a little naive, charging for the hot water always seemed petty to me, charge a water fee and be done with it already, but it keeps someone working i suppose, prepaid card, card lost dept. etc.

i amazed at all the students sitting in staircases talking to themselves to study for post graduate exams, dont recall ever talking out loud to study except languages when i was in college.

my favorite is watching security officials negotiate settlements over a bicycle that some student says another student has stolen  and they both have fake receipts.

my college makes their own wine and beer , so some things are a necessary evil, life is good.
