Q: What private English schools/agencies are best to work for in Beijing?

I've heard horror stories about all of them, EnglishFirst, New Oriental, Hampson etc. So which one is best to work for in terms of pay, hours, treatment, benefits etc.

The one place that I did work at was New Oriental and that would be the best that I've come across. Not so much teaching in a center but they do have some programs that you can get into that is pretty decent in terms of teaching here.

I don't know all about Hampson but the only place that I went to it didn't seem that good. It was a small training center and probably wouldn't recommend being at that place if it was the same guy running it.

EF is really big and I'm not too sure about it. They do advertise the most out of all of the training schools so they do know how to recruit students the best more so than any of the other training schools in Beijing. You can't teach without students and that's where some training schools fail at and EF succeeds!

EF varies city to city its a franchise and isn't owned by any one company. But I must say, I've had more legal problems from teachers with this school than any other rip off school in China.

New Oriental is a great school in terms of fairness but are well known for their corruption and low success rate for having students pass test for goiing abroad.
