Q: What's going on with BING in china ?
A regular poster here sent me a message about strange search results for "Mexico communism".
I tried other countries, Denmark, Ireland... Russia.
Same result. Yup. Even Russia.
Then I tried "Communism"
Give it a go. On BING.
I have noticed that Bing global goes hinky on a regular basis whereas Bing cn is always working. Not being a conspiracy theorist myself, I can't speculate as to the reason.
Can you elaborate on the searches you performed?

Seems BING has sold out totally. They dont just remove hits now ' due to local laws'. I showed it to the IT guy at work today, and he agrees, BING are not net neutral at all now. They are not just removing results, they are ordering results. Almost anything I BING with the word communism... top hits.. Communist Party of China. Constitution of PRC. Whole top page... Party websites. Try it. Russia communism.

That may explain why Microsoft has virtual carte banche in china whilst apple, facebook, twitter et al are doing it hard.
