Really most of them look like they couldn't do anything in signs of danger as they look 12 years old or skinny as anything.
If I finish work late and get home round 11pm 99% of the time they are sleeping.
Is there really purpose of having them to "protect us"?
Or any one have the same problem

the security guards in bus station/train station are trusted. probably they are empowered from some police station.
the security guards in residential apartments are also trusted. because at least they will report when there is something wrong. also i heard from one security from a middle-high apartment said, he is just 20years,and if he stays being a security for 15 years here, then he can get the "retirement" from this company/ residential community. therefore, they are also most trusted since they have benefits.
the security guards in the office buildings are not that trusted. i mean, i don't trust them. because they are just earing money!!!
Their purpose is to open the outside gate as slowly as possible, and then to unlock the door to the building in the least urgent manner possible when I get home late. And they're always so happy and cheerful to comply......
To help their relatives remove anything that isn't nailed down
They're definitely useful for primary schools where they should be tightly controlled of who goes in or out, due to the evident trend of psycho Chinese going in on a killing spree.
They are also useful for high schools because they can stop students going out and parents going in.
I don't even know why they're at universities because anybody can just walk in and out of those massive places.
I guess they are in residential buildings to act as witnesses if anything were to wrong.
Also fill the void of unemployment, get some really young/old patriot to do their part serving the country.
Well, they may not be much help, but just having a person at the gate discourages most people from doing something wrong.
As well as the security point there is a community just down the road from us where they have two main roads into it. On each they have a security guy standing to attention all day and all they seem to do is salute the car drivers coming in. Well it is called Rich Land so maybe that is the answer!!!
they are all exp
erts in the martial arts they will kick your #$% if you arntlcareful lmao
Well, I'm not a 100% positive, but I think all the wierd little jobs in Chinar have a lot to do with the population size. I mean, you have to have jobs for people, or they get down and out and then all sorts of trouble starts happening. So, when u have a Massive population like Chinar, maybe 1.6 billion (who really knows), then you also have to have a lot of jobs !! Now, you take the average education/sophistication level of 'Luke' and ask yourself what kind of jobs can we create by the multiples of thousands? Voila! Security Guards, Street Sweepers, Car Park Attendants, Bus Ticket Sellers, Receipt Stampers, etc.
Well, that is what I am guessing anyway...
Also tinged with a Societal Attitude towards Martial Dominance, hence the Love of Uniforms...
So someone in a nice looking uniform can steal from you
you will see their purpose when an area goes into full lock down. (thought police, protesting) they will bar people from leaving/ entering a complex.
The resindential areas' security guards are there mostly to make life more miserable for the residents.... think about it.
