Q: What's the ultimate sign that you've China-ized?
For the long timers here, when was the time you thought to yourself, "Wow, the old me would never, ever have done that."
The first step is to leave this forum, just by being here reading and writing means you aren't China-ized yet.
Using public bathrooms at ease. I don't smell it anymore...
Complete and total comfort when using a squat toilet.
I recently moved home and I am shocked to discover how rude I am. I gotta get manners back. Not so much with things like please and thank you, but in human interaction I am a real stiff.
I shuffle my feet, like the Chinese, but because I think I've a bone spur in my heel, less impact.
I make noises when I chew, so I don't hear others and I like being the loudest.
I like being fladulent in the worst places like elevators or bed and no one notices.
More getting one up than being China-ized.
Bargaining = even if it's for few mao or jiao

I knew my coworker was lost to China when he refused to bus his own tray at McDonald's and clip his fingernails right at his desk without so much as putting a trash can below to catch the clippings.

I have always picked my nose. Now I just don't look around first to see if anybody is looking.
You hit the refresh icon about 8 times before trying to log onto a website.
When I go home I use the wok for everything and still cook Chinese style...still use chopsticks for almost everything...and eating a bowl of instant noodles with a fried egg on top instead of western food late at night.
Saying "oh" and "ah" alot, as well as "Bye Bye" all the time.
When I can't flush the toilet paper down the toilet but I have to put it in the garbage can instead!
Oh man...I could not have said it better myself...I found myself laughing like crazy. God blessed me with a wife that has a British English accent and the royal manners to match. Probably one of the very few Chinese with those characteristics. I thank my grandmother for having me go to church frequently. LOL
Cant complain though, after being in Iraq...I've seen worse...in the area of cleanliness.

Nothing surprises you anymore. Oh, there's a bug in my chao fan? Meh. There's 5 people riding on one e-bike? No big deal. A kid pooping on the sidewalk? Old news. And even if it does surprise you, you can still keep a perfect poker face.
I would say that chopsticks feel more natural than a fork, but that could be true after living in several countries, not just China.
I think one area where I am really "Chinaized" is using kwaizi all the time. I actually am getting to the point of preferring it over fork and knife. We went out to eat at at a "western" restaurant the other night, and I found myself wanting to ask for chopsticks. The only thing preventing it was that the food was not pre-cut, lol.
Another area is driving. I totally drive like a Chinese person now, but that is mainly to survive. However, I have turned into one of the crazies...
Oh, and as Jnusb416 mentioned, absolutely nothing surprises me anymore.
I find myself using noises to communicate.
