Chinese all think America is dangerous. While some places are admittedly steaming piles of poop, the crime rate in America is grossly over exaggerated, especially in Chinese media. What about other countries? Seems like whenever something bad happens, people here automatically assume the whole country is out to get tourists.
In my home country we tell Americans it is dangerous in America (relatively speaking it is very dangerous) ... but generally, I think Chinese have negative impressions about most countries. (broad generalizations coming up) Africa you get AIDS or other horrible disease, Russia you will get killed by bombings, Japan is radioactive (and generally evil) America has gun fights on any street corner, Israel has terrorists killing people. In Europe people are racist.
Of course the food is awful all over the globe.
I always tell Chinese that every country has it's own danger.

Scandinavian:
I can read from this that in Venzuela they kill unhappy people
When i say where i am from, most Chinese people look at me with blank expression. of course my country doesn't exist according to some banks and hotels in China.......
I always get something like this:
"There is no discrimination in China. We have 56 ethnic minorities." (tell that to my wife)
"All Chinese people are good, and would never go out of their way to cheat you." (???)
No because I'm not from America, Syria or Egypt.
Scandinavian:
Syria is not dangerous. They have a pretty harmonious society going there.
I have been contemplating my answer to this question all day, but now feel ready to give an answer.
I would tell them that the UK is the most dangerous place on Earth. We still have trouble in Northern Ireland. The English and Scottish armies fight daily battles over the SNP's wish for Independence.
I would tell them that these photos in this link
are in fact dated wrong and were only taken yesterday.
I would tell them that the Spanish are trying to fight us over Gibraltar - sending what remains of the Spanish Aramda to try and sink our dinghies.
I would tell them how the London Riots of 2011 are still ongoing as we speak.
Why will I tell them all this?
They might actually not bother going then, and they might believe what they see on CCTV and in the China Daily, and various other Government mouthpieces, and we might then be free of; shouty people in queues at Heathrow Airport, and in restaurants countrywide, demanding shoppers in shops on Oxford Street, and many other things as publicised in the past.
