Q: Where are all the fresh drinks? (Juice edition)

Was out hunting OJ for the missus again. The shop had 6 different so-called "100% Pure Orange Juice" all are made from "Water, Orange Juice Concentrate and additives" No such thing as just fresh fruit juice. Would have thought in a part of the world where the oranges grow, OJ would be possible to get.

Same applies to other types of juice. It's garbage.

You'd be better off getting a juicer. Oranges are cheap here. Juicing your own OJ can be pretty fun especially if you have kids. Can't get any fresher than that.

I am going to buy a juicer too..only thing is ...I keep looking for a deal...taobao offers many......wife says too much... Problem is ..I agree....  I want a 1600w minimum  thing with a really low price tag

I hate the oj and especially the "green tea"  sugar drinks they have here, even the MILK my wife buys tastes like sugar.

just thi thread has prompted me to go 'do it"   buy the damned thing... get a good one.

I appreciate the suggestions on a juicer. We have a Philips juicer and I may need another one. It is super noisy and it takes longer to clean than something that takes very long.

louischuahm:

There's this blender/juicer type that I use. I normally blend fruits to a fine pulp, add water and leave it in the freezer for about an hour. It comes out like a slush. Great during summers. Best of all, it cleans easily with running water.

There is rarely ever any quality processed product on the street. When there is, it's either overpriced or past the date.

I'll go with everyone there, blend your own juice, and buy your fruits at a reliable place.
