Q: Where can i find an English Speaking Psychatriast in Nanjing ?

I have been taking anti anxiety medicine for almost 2 years for social anxiety.  I have recently moved to Nanjing and might be here for another 2-3 years.

I want to know where can i find some English speaking psychiatrist who can prescribe me the said medicines, because Benzodiazpines which I am taking have severe withdrawal symptoms and most of the hospital and health centre i have visited i couldn't find a single doctor who can comprehend my problem because of the language.

Please tell me if there is any doctor(psyschatriast) working in china who also speaks English, and also please tell me the medicinal and check up cost because i am a student and money is a bit of problem for me

Thanks and regards,

I'd head to Shanghai. Sounds like a serious situation. I've had friends who have had dependency problems with benzodiazepines. I'm no doctor but long term use of such medication isn't good for you. It tends to turn your brain into candy floss and it severely messes with the part of your brain that deals with logic and consequence. I'd say they are more dangerous than almost any recreational drug that I could think of. This is just my opinion.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
