Where do thee "leftover" women congregate? Do they have meetings? Clubs? Can they be found on dating websites? Any advise or ideas? I am not looking for love. Please forgive the use of the word "leftover".
Oh no. It's another very bad foreigner, coming to China to work illegally and treat Chinese women like dirt. Foreigners are so bad.
BTW, "advice" is spelt with a "c" not "s" Common mistake the Chinese make.
Amonk:
I almost wonder whether we should be pointing out their mistakes for them. God forbid they use proper English and it becomes a teeny bit more difficult to spot them.
stan118:
unless they spent a long time abroad or went to an international school you will always find mistakes in their english, but if some one did go abroad i doubt he would be a troll lool
Traveler:
He still made the same spelling mistake on another post. They just don't listen.
airyk:
I'm sure I am not the only one who did not know there was a difference between the noun and the verb. But thanks for the lesson. Traveler you can keep helping me with my spelling, it's constructive and you seem more or less nice, although you think I'm Chinese. But that will pass.
Why go for leftovers? Try the ones already taken, married women, they love foreign men that are good to them.
Don't you already have a girlfriend? You said in another post that you've been with her for four years, and came to China to see her. Why do you need to look for more women?
I don't like that phrase left over women
it is like half cast the person is classed as sub human
Maybe they just have better taste in a partner than is available to them
Amonk:
Chinese women are well known for becoming asexual due to the lack of availability of men possessing both testosterone and human decency. Luckily, their sexuality only appears to be dormant and is reawakened when presented with a quality man of substance. I saw it on NatGeo.
philbravery:
and that is why I used the word partner
the most politically correct thing I have or will ever say
ambivalentmace:
do a search of women over 30 on qq and then search for education, then look for the ones that are active users, goldmine, good luck
airyk:
Ambivalentmace - great idea, very insightful.
Phil - I know I don't like the word either but if I described the women for what they are- Very intelligent and strong women, I might not get as much good info as I have.
Definitely as far........away from you as humanly possible!!
Well, whomever came up with that term hopefully doesn't understand the subtle connotations it carries in the English language. If he/she did, I hope they would not still choose to categorize people as 'left-over'.
Amonk:
I don't know why that's so offensive. Whenever I hear it I think "so great when you go out that you want to bring it home and nibble on it all night".
In the kitchen with Dinah.
Better know how to scramble an egg, old boy!
Good luck.
Left over women? In China!? Not at a ratio of three guys to every two girls. The problem here isn't that women over 25 or 27 or whatever are soon going to be undesirable as partners, but rather that something like 24 million Chinese adult men are going to find themselves without spouses by 2020. Even in a country of around 1.3 billion that's still a huge amount of single people. For Americans, that's roughly the total population of Texas. For Europeans, that's about the population of Holland and Belgium combined. So no. You'd have an easier job finding Santa Claus than a professional, urban, single Chinese gal over 30, or whatever.
I'm mean its just so blatant. The idea here is to rush as many girls into marriage, and marriage with a local guy, as quickly as possible. All the while it makes women over what ever arbitrary threshold feel luckier, and more willing to settle, if they've actually found a man, not that this would be a problem demographically. In both cases, it pushes competent women out of the Chinese work force, which makes room for Chinese guys to get hired or get promoted.
Really, this is the problem with having a state run media. You have to deal a rather absurd assertions couched in questions by the likes of that hair cut Yang Rui, and a spate of editorials about nearly everything except what the actual issue is about. Here the government did something incredibly short sighted three decades ago with the one child policy, and now people are going to start having to paying the price for it. It isn't an accident that those "Why you should date a Chinese Man" articles have been popping up so often lately, and it isn't an accident that this nonsense over "left over women" is getting bandied about as well.
Well they congregate in my bedroom, I mean im not a good looking guy but im ploughing (pun intended) through 20-30 of these chicks a month. Some can be a bit clingy but when they won't leave I tend to cancel my lease and move out without telling them.
I liked when they brought all the women from Burma as wives for the Chinese men. Most of the women opted to return to poverty in Burma, rather than be married to a Chinese man.
Hulk:
They speak really good Chinese, though. I've met one here, and she was pretty cold until I congratulated her on her marriage.
Most are at home with their child being a good mother, or working at some crap factory for small money to send back to their child in another city.
Happy everyday! :(
