Guangzhou.......Lived there for six years and i enjoy everything about that city
I would have to agree about Guangzhou. I consider it my Chinese home town. I especially like the Panyu/Zhu Jiang area.
I would also have to say that I enjoyed living in Dalian too. The winters were brutal, but the summer there was awesome. Not too mention all the very tallk good looking women running around. :)

Haizhu is where I go to get all my DVDs, software and xbox games. Gads, I am going to miss the cheap stuff here.

do miss guangzhou sometimes.........now i get a plan for my national holiday
I don't like big cities, a city is a city to me. I've been to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xian, didn't care for them, especially the traffic. I chose Guilin for part of a holiday to see the Li river and I just loved the place, so I went back. I planned on coming back now in September but I have house repairs and legal BS to deal with still. I liked the downtown area, the trees in the city and it still has lots of old areas which I like.
Relaxing Chengdu.
Food, beer and nice women.
How can you beat that?
Shenzhen, because it is convenient to go to HK and it is a shopping paradise and it has warm/hot weather for most of the year which makes "girl watching" almost a year round activity
Visited Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Guilin and one or two other cities in Guangxi, and i'd have to go with Guilin as a favourite place to live. Love the surrounding countryside, don't need the hustle and bustle of the larger cities, stones throw from Yangshuo and that's always a laugh. Job's a good'n. Favourite place to visit; Jiuzhaigou, hands down. Most beautiful place i've seen in my entire life.
Hangzhou. I find the pace of life there more relaxed than other cities, which is good for working and it is close enough for weekend getaways to Shanghai when you need more excitement.
Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The Big Buddha at the top of the mountain is breathtakingly beautiful. The air is cool and clean. There's no trash on the ground. The clouds brush the top of the mountain and everything is fantastic. By far, the best place I've been to in China.
