Q: Who has won the war of the mobile phones in China: iPhone or Android?

With 4G coming out soon, people may have plans to upgrade to a new phone. Upon looking around the subway, it looks as though most everyone is using a Samsung. Apple used to be the main phone, but it looks to have fallen out of favor; and, most of the iPhones I've seen in use are very old.

What do you say?

Samsung has a good market share. I think I see more Samsung that Apple phones. The local brands using Android are getting better all the time. I would not buy Apple stock right now.

Apple phones are on the decline. They need to be more flexible and allow true file exploration. Why in 2014  Apple still refuses to put in an sd card reader?

i think if China wants to move forward, they need to make their own smart phones independent from both iphone, and android. iphones have already proven to have gps tracking, and android is made by google. who in this day and age who respects privacy wants to use anything by google? China desprately needs its own smart phone, with its own os. otherwise China's fate will rest in the hands of their western handlers. creating China's own os will also bring more jobs to China, and eliminate security threats from google.

It's funny how you state that China needs it's own smartphone independent of others and you are correct. But you are too much of a mouth piece to state how to achieve this or why cChina hasn't been successful. Your govt is too busy banning ,censoring and limiting free thought so that Chinese only know how to follow. Why don't you give that speech to your superiors.

China has their own smartphones, like the Meizu, which are actually pretty nice. As for Android, everyone likes it because it's open and free. Do you know what that means? OPEN SOURCE, FREE OF CHARGE.
