That's funny but it's true, my wife reacts to rain as if it were a meteor shower. People run in terror when it rains and get their umbrellas out when it's sunny. Can't speak for the rest of the country but with the wife it's just fear of catching a cold, another thing she takes wayyy too seriously.
And why do people (not just Chinese) think you can catch a cold when you feel the opposite of warm? The two aren't related, apart from using the same word.
We've been through this question before. It does bear a 2nd look though. Funny to watch.
I believe some chinese call it acid rain
They believe that with all the pollution up there, when it rains the pollution comes down with it and burns them
Then again have you noticed after a really long down pour, the next day is clear skys and you can see for miles
After 1937 when The Wizard of OZ movie came out, Chinese have been afraid of melting.
Yep they are ALL afraid of the sun, rain and the dark!!!
for me - better is to avoid direct sunlight under umbrella, then die on the skin cancer.
but maybe it's just a votum separatum here?
afraid of the dark? when? where? how?! - after the dark life in China begins
rain? - Chinese medicine says, that (with the wind together) it brings a cold. but isn't it quite truth? I have not ever seen "panic" of the people hiding from the rain... they just try to avoid it
