Q: Why is the date on my temporary residence slip different to residence permit date?

Help! I just realised that the expiration date of the slip of paper you get from the psb is different to the date in my residence permit in my passport. I still have 2 weeks left according to the passport date but the slip expires tomorrow. What should I do?

Head to your local police office with a Chinese you trust.

Elementary, my dear Watson, get your ass in a taxi and go to PSB with both ASAP to see which one is right anyway.

But I will place my bets with the date on the residence permit.  The one in the slip of paper is figured out sometimes by using the fingers in my experience.  Twice I had to correct them, since before I solicit the paper I do use a calendar to count the proper number of days.
