I have always been a free range spitter, opressed by intrusive local regulations from repressive western governments, so I have traveled the world in search of a country where I can have freedom in this area.

I first came because there were no jobs at home.  I stayed longer than expected because the money is good (compared to cost of living) and so is the lifestyle.  Probably won't stay forever, but it's good for now.

Each person is different, A625967, and as such, will probably have different reasons to select China as a destination.  Yes, salaries here are lower, but right now there are more work opportunities available here than back at home.  Cost of living is also significantly lower, so even with lower salaries a good quality of life can be had.  For some could be the adventure of a new place, for others it could be the culture and traditions.  And of course, for some could even be the drinking and availability of sex.

For me, I had visited China since 1997, and liked it very much.  I was treated always very nicely by those I met, and made many friends.  So, when I decided to retire, after looking at a few places, I selected China in general and a beautiful city on the south as my new home.  After two years, I am still very happy with my selection, and so far have met all of my expectations.  I may not agree with all I see, but I am patient and tolerant enough to ignore what I dislike, and concentrate on what brings me happiness.

I came to learn more about the culture. I like learning about Asian cultures and languages and learning about the similarities and differences between them. China is not the only place I will live, but it is the first outside of my own country, and boy, have I learned a lot. I guarantee I will never look at the world the same again.

If I hadn't been in a jocular mood my answer would have been similar. I feel that I am doing many of the thing Happy has done but in a timeline 10 years behind him. My partner is originally from here and has family and friends in Nth China as well as an apartment. The cost of living is low and while I am still employed in my own country I use as much leave(annual, long service, leave without pay) to spend as much time in China as I can. The money I spend also put a minute input into the local economy so I am no freeloader. I like the food our friends and travel within China as much as we can. While acknowledging the downsides they do not dampen my enjoyment to the point that it will stop me from spending a lot of my life here. In truth though I believe I will never live full time in China because I enjoy all the things that Australia has to offer. I think the contrasts between the two countries keep up my enthusiasm for each and at present I am fortunate to have the best of both worlds.     

With so many Chinese coming to my country, I thought I'd make it even.. 

 11% of Canadian population is Asian, 40% of that are from China. There are 19,000 Canadians living in China which is 0014% of the population of China, I'm here to make up for 5.49% population difference. I'm learning about the cultural differences. When I go home I'll know how to act towards the Chinese, I will stare at them and yell ''Foreigner" just so they will feel like it's home. 

actually my wife dosnt like california and i love calofornia since we have been married 14 years and i meet her in california when i sold my comompanies 8 or 9 years ago  we spend 6 months in china and 6 months in california ans since i am bored she told me to teach english so many of us are here for different reasons 

Looking for a change but when that change isn't what you planned it to be it's time to move back! Always good to try something once! Well, I came several times and nothing really changes here too me so I like a little bit of change in my life hopefully when I go back home that change will be waiting for me. I haven't found it here!

Because my company sent me here....so I figured I would make the best of it by drinking every night and pillaging the local female population....but I messed up...I settled down and live with one now.

I do/did  come/came for the religious freedom, (  am agnostic. - no Western Christian pressure),  for the environmental cleanliness, for personal and professional opportunities and  for the 老百姓.  best personalities on Earth..

Best thing I ever did.

However in saying that These days I use my time here to unwind ,see the family and to check out new things I can make money out of back home.

it does have its down side though as anybody married to a local girl can tell you

I came here to try my luck I've been working for more than 13 years in my own country but don't have any savings for my family in the future because of low salary but the cost of living was very high. Since the salary here is more higher than before when i am working in my own country i hope and pray that i could save some money for my family and go back to my country to start my own little business....

I am from the planet Poontang. I came to your planet to explore for future colonization. I picked China because the women were good looking and there are so many of them. We will need breeding stock during our expansion. So far my testing of the breeding stock has been unsuccessful. I think we may be incompatible, I have developed an allergic reaction when coupling with the females. It has caused my reproductive tentacle to swell to 2'' and develop some sort of rash. 

 The reports of UFOs flying over Daejeon, Korea are false. Why would we travel the vast intersterstellar distance  to visit there when most people in Korea won't even go there from Seoul? 

 The Mother ship was to arrive in December 2012, however we are having difficulties with the braking system. It seems that even with our advanced technologies, we still have systems that are built by the equivalent of your Chinese. So for now the invasion has been put on hold pending repairs to the fleet ( where do you get spare parts on Jupiter?) and a cure found for my rash.
