Q: why does bleach have the number 84 on the bottle?
so many 84 bottles of different sizes and which one is just bleach and why a number. 84 in different tones means bleach,
someone enlighten me with the wisdom of whiter clothes and maybe some trivial chinese linguistics
As far as I understood the person that told me, the 84 in only one color means bleach for white clothes only. If the 84 is in different tomes (or colors), it means it can be safely used with color clothes. Again, that is what I was told. I also asked about why the "84", but found no answer so far.
It was invented in 1984， in a hospital named 北京地坛医院.

WHoever created that brand of bleach can put whatever they want on the bottle so long as it will not get them sued in court. I see nothing wrong with the person who made this brand putting the number 84. It could be for various reasons he could have just liked the number and decided to put it on his bleach bottle.

so the new scoop on 84 was made by hospital and in 1992 establish a company and gave them a contract right to make 84(bleach) and in march 1997 estblished a group of over 30 factories to make and distribute 84 with their quote formula and technology.
so bleach was controlled and only allowed to be used in hospitals before 1984, no wonder the place is so dirty.
i wonder how close the western clorox is to 84 and how proctor and gambel feels about this, only one supplier of bleach for over a billion people, why am i not surprised.
