My Gf was nagging I needed a shower and all foreigners need cologne so they don't stink. Not like Chinese man, then i got on the elevator which stopped on 4 floors to let guys on this morning. They should still be fresh right,,na they were ripe. i think she's so used to smelling Chinese men that she doesn't notice. Btw I had just showered, used deoderant and cologned myself, brushed and flossed my teeth and used mouth wash, even  fresh undies. geesh..maybe it was her she smelled.

haha, I was talking about this with a foreign friend yesterday.   He complains it is hard to get deodorant here and its more expensive...

the worst situation is when you get on the train and the window can not be opened..

and by the way the girls in my class don't shave, and they(include my family) think i am alien just because i do.

and i guarantee you there are a lot of chinese never heard of deodorant.

one more thing, when woman  delivered a babe, their parents will keep the woman in a room for a month,  during this one month no shower, some of them even dont brush their teeth, window cant be opened etc...  that sounds so disgusting to me, but people are very serious about it...

so its hard to notice that when someone born and grow up here.

I do believe as my wife has told me that one, they are used to the smell of their body odor, therefore the actually don't smell it, but will claim they can smell foreigners. LOL, anyway, also deoderants contain chemicals and my wife refuses to put it on her body, but man she loves the estee lauder,

Maybe they don't want people to be around them. who knows why? Could be that they can't afford any or they are too lazy! There are a lot of reasons why...^ ^

Here is a list of what I have heard.

Chinese people don't sweat like us

Chinese people don't smell like us

Chinese people have smaller glands

Chinese people have less hair where bacteria can grow and fester

Chinese people don't eat meat as much as we do

Chinese people are not as active as us

If you smell you smell and no one here will dare say to another that they smell so they keep on smelling.

My gf was shocked when she first saw me use deodorant.  She said it's very bad for the body and then I laughed my ass off.  She said she would never use it.

After complaining about everyone here stinking all the time...including her at times (jokingly)....I guess it sunk in.

About 1 month ago I found a mini ladies' deodorant in her purse that she had been secretly using of late....lol.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
