Q: Why is it so hard to find bottled Harbin beer in Beijing?
There's six different kinds of bottled Harbin Beer and two of them are superb (Harbin Draft in the green bottle and Harbin Old World in the brown bottle) but they are impossible to find in Beijing. WHY?
Not impossible at all. Try the several Metro stores located around the city.
If this is true I owe you BIG 981977405! I hope you are not talking about cans? I am only looking for those two Harbin beers - the best in China!
Try Jinkelong supermarkets, i used to buy from there last summer and im pretty sure they have the ones you want
Well they don't sell them in bars, but as mentioned above, Jinkelong supermarkets, or pretty much any Chinese supermarket brand has them.
And Dongbei restaurants too.
Harbin beer truly is the best local beer.
Really? I have no trouble finding them in the Muxidi section of Beijing...
Ok I'm gonna give you a highly educated guess as why you can't find any....it could be that someone here has drank it all up. And usually they come on here acting a bit drunk at times. Yeah that could be it. One or even two people may have drank all the beer and decided to have a hangover not before they started ranting about who knows wht!

The only bar that serves Harbin beer that I know of in Beijing is 2Kolegas. I always have it when I go there because a) it's the cheapest beer (15 rmb a bottle) and b) I think it tastes better than Tsingtao or Yanjing beer.
Does anyone know where to get it on draft in Beijing? I also agree iot is the best beer in China!
