I couldn't believe that nobody else thought it didn't deserve comment so I answered it myself ....yet it doesn't appear on the new answers list

you 'hurt the feelings' of the Beiber obsessed moderator
you probably made him/her cry
a pity Beiber can't be blocked from the rest of the world
ambivalentmace:
Actually, compared to some artists, he is a little mild and lame. damn, John Heard just died, played father on Home Alone, nice guy, met him twice.
I got the "you are not authorized to view this page" to your "Thank Goodness China Got it Right" question
ambivalentmace:
same problem also. i usually try and answer no answer questions so maybe some humble user will reciprocate in the future, rather naive i suppose sort of like honor among thieves, but i have got several unauthorized lately, if they are un-authorized, delete them from the site instead leaving dead branches hanging around.
same here,, I clicked 'thank goodness...' and got 'you are not authorized',,, haha,, Big Brother is watching ! Heaven forbid us keyboard warriors disrupt the social harmony of the illustrious PRC.
He by far is the most dangerous kid and future adult male, he'll make O.J Simmson look like an angel. This kid will be in prison someday.
This is the one move I support China for.
diverdude1:
haha,, there's something i like about him,, he's already raised some hell a few times,, more power to him,, just hope he doesn't croak it on drugs or something,,, give a 15 year old kid a few million bucks and tell him he's the coolest thing since sliced bread, well, recipe for disaster. hope he doesn't fall for whatever it was that got the likes of Whitney, Elvis , and whomever.
I can't include Morrison in the list, because obviously Jim was a hard-core Rock n Roller,, same as Jimmi,,, but bieber seems like a young kid doin Pop music. tell chiner u wouldn't put on a show there for anything in the world. haha, PRC's loss.
Was he banned from performing in China or what?
PulSartre:
Had no idea, not at all. Wow, that was bad for his business. Soooo bad. The money he could make with a single concerto in China. Wow, that hurt his business.
ambivalentmace:
what is it in the back of mind that raises the hairs on my neck.
The idea that China would let a foreigner make a lot of money on a concert and not take most of it for themselves.
seansarto:
Actually..he doesn't need the money..but China would gain a lot of face, here and now, as a global team player for allowing an innocuous but galling idiot like Bieber loot their fawning Tuhaos purses..instead of trying to depend on homegrowns...look at Wang Jianlin.

I didn't block your post. I'll inform the tech guy, its likely a glitch. sorry for the inconvenience.
Blondie_:
and how about the 'glitch' that prevents me from commenting on the home page articles?
that hasn't been fixed despite me highlighting it several months ago when i was banned 'on suspicion' of SPAMMING.
notice i say 'on suspicion', as i didn't actually spam and no-one actually answered my queries when i emailed asking why i was banned.
to be honest, the articles on the home page are nothing but a pile of re-posted dross, but it demonstrates so much that has dropped in site admin quality and how poorly the supposed target audience is understood.
ambivalentmace:
i actually don't read the articles anymore, the titles are designed to irritate foreigners who know the truth and brain wash the ones that don't live here and make the locals continue to feel secure and superior. It's like watching a rerun of an old television show all day, like those japan/china war flicks or the lousy cooking shows everyday, just f#ing boring.
he did let himself be carried up the the Great Wall like an old Chinese emperor, that might have pissed somebody off. http://www.tmz.com/2013/10/01/justin-bieber-great-wall-of-china-photo/
seansarto:
He angered the culture that invented the rickshaw?..I'd say he paid it an homage, no?
"We block the content of certain .... LT posters. "
Pardon me, buTT .... I am going for the new 'coat&rain' ...
Another Canadian blocked. (remember Winnie). This guy is a great singer, and very popular with the H/S College generation in China. I have always heard my students mention him and his music. I have to agree that his behavior isn't the greatest. Nor is he any kind of role model. But lets face it. Beijing does have the right to censor him. Just like the American government bans people for various reasons. ( we all know about the travel bans). As a citizen of a democracy, I am would not/cannot ever agree to censorship in another country. But that does not mean I would be willing to break the laws in another country
ambivalentmace:
The travel ban in America is not permanent, it's 90 days while they review the vetting process of who comes in, the last president actually did a travel ban and had no bad press or pissed off judges crying foul, but that is the hypocrite left at work. So you live in country that has a temporary ban, if you got nothing to hide, you can't come to America for Labor Day and blow up the Jefferson Memorial or go to a family barbeque without pork, but you can still make it by Christmas to bomb Rockefeller Plaza while everyone is ice skating or buy a new toy for your kids. Every good or bad plan has delays.
I am being very cavalier about this because in the future this will be much worse and rules will get even tighter in a decade and the rules will probably come from the left after America has violence like Europe, it's really sad to watch naive people being slaughtered by self-induced idealistic thinking.
ambivalentmace:
bad behavior is a western precedent for travel also.
Canada want allow a drug offender or a dui offender knowingly into Canada from information it receives in a data base from America, Britain, New Zealand, Australia and some countries reciprocate this policy.
Telling China they can't is being a hypocrite.
i am not sure if bieber has a dui, but this could be a factor or drug charges, i just don't care to look it up or care very much about it. There is a border security show from Canada I download on torrents, one show had a Australian that have flown almost a full day to see his girlfriend in Vancouver and his drug use and drinking caused him to put on a plane right back to kangaroo land.
ambivalentmace:
it is actually ironic that a westerner with a past youthful drinking problem can't get in a country but an arab that we do not know enough about gets a handshake and housing and the benefit of the doubt, but the dui offender who payed his debt to society, pay taxes and tries to better himself gets the shaft.
Shining_brow:
Why is that ironic?
In theory, the 'arab' (not being even remotely racist there!) isn't known, and therefore isn't on any watchlist, and thus hasn't done anything to draw that attention. Therefore, in theory, is a MUCH better 'risk' than the teenager with a long history of being a twat.
The DUI from decades ago... yah, extreme - but TiC!
Not the first banning. Won't be the last... and certainly far from controversial!
Placebo has been banned for life!
Bieber has had run-ins with the law before - so not even remotely surprising.
Especially now in a culture of a very nationalistic China... I'm surprised more western crap hasn't been banned here....(why do they tend to allow the crap, but ban the good stuff?)
How else do you cultivate the idea you are "superior" to your competition?
I guess the Chinese government didn't accept his "Sorry" single.
The Rolling Stones got into China 2 times and Hong Kong and Macau
diverdude1:
haha,, that's funny,,, if you consider the 'Sicko Pervert Banging your Teenage Daughter while Enlightening Her to the Coolest Highs of a Ride on The Tiger' scale -
Keith Richards: 9.8
Mick: 9.6
Beeber: 1.3
diverdude: 7.7 (I wish)

UPDATE
Perhaps he never intended to perform in China at all anyway. At least 12 remaining concerts canceled including Singapore.
philbravery:
Yeah saw that story last night on the news. Something to do with a church. ...still scratching by head over that bit
A party animal needs to be a "party" man, good to know.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/is-justin-bieber-sabotaging-his-career-for-jesus
the story just went to the weird at a whole new level.
diverdude1:
haha,, I'll read it later,, but if he goes off on some 'Jesus kick' I'd rather see that than the kid drowning in a bathtub after shooting up heroin,,, a la Whitney,,,,, I really liked her back in the day...
