It's all to do with evolution.
You feel the need, you do the deed. Nature does not want you to hang around. Nature wants you to leave the building, feel the need somewhere else, and spread your seed.
It's up to the woman to keep the man in the bed after he has shot his load. That's the skill Vicky lacks.
I can't talk for every men but I guess that none of us feel empty after doing it, sure I don't, it's just that we spread our seed and have no interest toward the woman anymore, like we would rather go on the computer than stay with her.
The goal of life is to pass on our genes, there are many ways to achieve this, men spend their lives running after money or success so they can attract prettier women with better/stronger genes to make superior babies. Women want stronger or wealthier men so those men can protect and offer a better future to their children. It's that easy.
Harsh view of life isn't it? Well it's the genetic truth of mankind and every other animals, accept it or live in denial.
If tomorrow every men in this world lose their sex drive, they won't have any reason to wake up in the morning, society will collapse in a blink.
We try really hard to put ourselves above other animals but in fact we are not so different from them.

The reason people put up with the world is because they're afraid to leave it. Simple as that. Nobody wants to die. If you don't eat then you die. If you have no place to live then you are close to dead. Without the fear of, say "where am i going to live tomorrow or what am i going to eat tomorrow if i don't get my paycheck?" then nobody would have any reason of going to work and putting up with the BS. That's what would make society to disappear. Take people who have no ability of passing on their genes, who have done it already, or just don't want to do it and they still have a strong attachment to this world.
its not a feeling of sadness or emptiness but relaxed state of mind where you dont feel lke talking and just want to sleep or may be think about sports 
But a serious answer to this question: almost every one has a conscience. If you're with a woman who you're not married to, you're going to feel guilty afterwards. I feel no such guilt with my wife, but when I've plowed other women in the past, yes... lots of guilt.
