Q: Why some Chinese boss has no morality?
I have worked in this new company for 40 days, it seem like the boss would pay someone who has reached one month of working here. Which is fine to me.
Last week, he told me he would pay me this week. But he didn't meantion shit about it.
I am so fed up with him for being have no morality to be responsible for his employees.
I'll wait till the middle of May, if he still didn't pay. I'll quit.
I am ready to refresh my CV and check out new companies.
All the sales worked before me here quit, I guess being not paid could obviously the main reason. Fuck!
One of the companies I worked is like that, fucking stupid and bad. China is full of shits.
And the boss is a fool.
One customer asked me to send them a sample, then the boss asked me if the customer wants to place me an order or not. How the fucking of the customer knows if they want to place an order or not before even see a sample.
Yesterday, the customers asked me to send them a invoice for the order, then the boss asked me what did the customer say after you sent the invoice. Is he really retarded? I just sent the invoice, customer needs time to process or may be even to consider if finally process with this order.
The boss just made a fortune at a good right time by working as sales for Chinese market in a company in Shanghai about 15 years ago or even earlier.
He knows shits about business management, everything falling apart and unorganized here, I came and organized a bit but still mess because the boss is lazy to help organize the sample rooms and many things. He doesn't know English let along knowing how to interact with overseas customers in a way to make them feel comfortable. He often said dirty words in front of employee and spit out of window in front of us.
Such a fool tried to teach me how to do management. What a ridiculous thing? I really wanna get rich soon and tried to work for myself instead of working for foolish people.
Funny how when we post theses things it's venting.
Let the Girl vent ....at least we can leave China in a hart beat.....she is stuck here for the long haul.

Well, the way it has been explained to me a few times is that they're 'clever'.
You or I may look at how they lie, cheat, steal and not pay their workers and think what a piece of shite that guy is, but we'd be wrong because he drives a luxury car, has expensive brand name clothes and accessories, brags about how he flouts the law and makes sure everyone sees him wining and dining government officials in expensive restaurants and KTV places, so therefore he is 'good' and everyone is jealous of him.
"I also be China girls, fuck china, China so bad, me be real"....easy enough to do, and as anyone who has ever frequented a China-based social media platform directed towards foreigners will attest to, the trolls love them and the fake profiles that are so easy to create.

Everyone knows about this problem of companies screwing over their workers but I always hear that China has workers' rights. And I just laugh at them.

it's simple supply and demand Vicky, any country with a large supply of cheap labor screws over the workers and the big bosses pay off the government and police to keep it that way.
it's not just china, indonesia, philippines, india, but the Chinese do take worker abuse to a higher level, almost like an artistic form of psychological slavery.

I'm not working so i dont use proper writing, never have on forums, maybe when i am drunk, i slip up and do it correctly, but i purposely void being grammatically correct so i want to get hounded by job offers on PM.
If it hasnt happen to you, consider yourself lucky.
Also if i respect a country, i might consider using a proper noun, Norway comes to mind, perhaps Japan and Switzerland, but that's about it for respect. if you send someone an invoice, they do not need to order, they actually need to pay. You only provide invoices for sold goods.

Some customers ask invoice as quotation list. lol It really depends on customer. But usually the customer would only ask for invoice when they want to pay. But what's the diffrence between order and make a payment really? Sometimes they are just the same. You can order but without makking the pay, but it won't be called order anyway.

An order is an order as soon as a contract is signed. No contract no order.
After the contract is signed, the customer can demand an invoice before payment, depending on contract terms.
But noone gives an invoice to a customer that didnt place and order (contract).
You do know that you pay tax for every invoice that you sent out?
If you sent out invoices and they don't pay/order then you pay tax for not getting anything, who would be this stupid?

It really depends, my invoice is a contract and also used as an invoice.
Clearly Vicki does not even know the difference between a quote and an order, no wonder she is always on here asking for ignored advice. If she does not even know the basics this explains why she thinks to be a manager all you need is the title and cannot develop her own business.
He lied to me for three times. The first time he told that he would pay me latter, then the whole day he didn't pay me. Then after a week, he told me he would pay me next week. Then again after a week, he didn't pay me. Then again he told me he would pay me on May 5, then today it's May 5, I am almost getting off, and I didn't fucking receive my pay and he just didn't even ask my bank card information. Fucking liar and I am so fed up with him. I decide to quit and suit him.
I am just so pissed.
He clearly has nobody to replace me and my departure will definitely put his business in danger, why he's so stupid for holding my paycheck? I didn't get paid for my salary for March and April.
He promised me many times that he would get me new computer this afternoon or tomorrow, then it has been one month, I didn't fucking see my new computer.
He promised that he would buy the Internet router to fix the Internet sharing. And he always told me that he is buying but I never fucking see the router. I ask this for creating a shared management base to manage the sales team and for sharing products information and improve working efficiency. It is just good for his business management, he just fucking never did it and lied to me.
No offense, most Chinese company owners jus not qualified and they called themselves CEO or General manager. Fucking hilarious. I am thousands more qualified than those rats.

I had been pissed the whole day and I didn't actually do much work and my productivity is very low today. He's just stupid. Why holding employee's paycheck for causing low productivity? It comes back to hurt his business in the end.
I feel bad for you, it seems in this post you were quite logical and your boss is really just harassing you without giving you time to work and doesn't even seem to want to pay you.
You already know this kind of thing exists Vicki with Chinese management. Never trust them, always seek out past employees and find out what they have to say... if they are all upset and angry with the place... then you should give it a miss.
Explain to him, YOU will send him an email or find him if a customer asks for anything or places an order... there is no need to waste his time finding you.
Explain to him, that YOU haven't been paid yet and need money to feed yourself in order to continue doing this job.
Explain to him that CONSTANTLY pressuring customers is a sign of desperation has been and will always be a red flag which may make customers NOT want to work with his company.
If you want to REALLY be a valuable employee, he needs to understand all of these points. However, I understand you are in China and it can be very frustrating on how you explain this to your boss without him getting upset. So prepare for another job, do the proper research... and then just lay it all on the table for him.
Chinese use a very abusive method to control people with guilt and embarrassment. It is a con method used on GOOD people until they are worn out. Don't let him make you feel guilty, this is a JOB and you have NOT been paid. Show him you deserve to get paid and you can help his company get better... if he doesn't want that. Just take off and put all your energy into finding the right job. Don't be discouraged, finding the right job just takes time and proper research. This guy seems like a con-artist... he is leading you on until he finds another person to con. Tell him to pay up now or you walk. And feel free to steal his client list for your next employer.

I told him customer needs time to make decusion and can't push customers, He ageeed with me but then he kept asking me for the status everyday and seeking an answer from me for wanting to know if the customer will place the order or not. Fucking stupid.
Vicki if you can find a way to work for yourself then do it. Working for a Chinese boss is 90-95% a terrible experience.

Feel sick working here! Working for Chinese boss is a big joke! All he really invest is 29800rmb on Alibaba, but lucky for him that he still hot inquiries from customers on alibaba everyday. Really he shouldn't expect too much from me. I am not a God and I am so sure even he replaced me, 99% of chance that the new manager won't do it better than me. The industry makes it hard to get deal done and I am already a good sales among Chinese.It seems your boss is cash strapped, hence the constant badgering you about a single sale and delaying your salary. As others have rightfully suggested, prepare an exit strategy.
As to management skills in China: Incompetency is probably due to the absence of middle managers due to employees tending to work long enough to learn bosses suppliers, clients, etc., then stealing same and opening a competitive business nearby. The boss, who probably started the same way, knows this and tries to minimize the occurrence by keeping the staff in ignorance and providing little training or guidance.

The two girls kept chatting nonstop in the office which is disturbing. I can not concentrate because of this. I told them numerous times but they aren't listening.
But most of the time, I told them to stop in an angry tone. Cause they kept this on and really pissed me off.
The girl told me that I do not want them to talk because no one speaks to me. That's ridiculous? Feeling of dealing with a child from kindgarden. Also the designer girl said he's not afraid of me for telling the boss.
I told the boss about this, the boss blamed me on upseting them. Holy Carp. Now the girls win and they kept chatting nonstop.
In my view, they kept this going on because they know they won't get fired.
The only problem is the boss. If the boss is being serious and not allow such behivior in the working place and got one girl fired to show the warning, all the dramas should be gone.
Poor management in China. I am now just here to make money and get out of here latter to do my own business.
