Q: Will I be held Legally responsible?
After being brow beat about my wife wanting a car now she has a license (f&=k knows how she got that)
I bought her a little red toyota .
So if and when she kills some poor old person who can't get out the way in time.will i be in the shit for suppling the weapon that she was aimi....ehh driving?
Ehhh no what she does isn't what constatutes driving. ..more of a use the force kind of thing.
I won't let the kids get in the car if she is behind the wheel.
I love my wife but there are reasons why female Asian drivers shouldn't be on the road and she is the poster girl for it.

Legally, of course not. Conscience, namely yours, hopefully yes because that means you got one.
We all know in an automobile accident anything can happen. So, if it is as bad as you say for everybody's safety sake you may want to talk about risks and their consequences with her. See if you can convince her with this golden investment rule --- don't invest (or gamble) an amount you cannot afford losing, ie can you afford the maximum loss?
Her ego would probably fight you for calling her a poor driver and claims the license examiner knows better, in which case you can ask her who knows her personality better, the examiner or you? This can save her life, to say the least.

I dread that , but fortunately my wife is very realistic about her shortcomings so I will teach her how to drive, ride with her for about a year to see how she does. And we'll agree to what happens after that. America won't be our final destination so she'll be able to get around on public transportation

I have very real fears about my dear wife's lack of driving ability. I am going to put a phone blocker in the car and dash cam . Also i go with her at the moment although I can't operate the imaginary brake on my side. I think the hardest part for me is im a heavy vehicle driving instructor both civil and military so I guess I could have to high standards.
Phil, you have not mentioned it, so I guess you have not done. You should do as the rest of China does, get yourself four pieces of red ribbon, and tie one each to the front and to the rear of the car, and the other two on the side view mirrows.
In doing so, now the car will be under the protection of the Gods, no evil spiritual being will approach it, no other care will impact it, makes no difference what she will do. Your fears will cease, and when she, riding the left lane on a 4 lanes avenue decides to turn right all of a sudden, she will do it flawlessly, and you will have no fears because the red ribbons work !. Ask the insurance agencies and you will see...
