Q: Will a Masters degree from a Chinese university serve me well?
The university starts in September, and that just made me think whether or not a Chinese masters degree would allow me to find a decent job (with many opportunities) in China.
I am going to be studying International business in a university in Shanghai, and after that I really want to pursue something in international trade.
However, as a foreign student, I am not sure how valuable this experience will be after I get out of school to look for a job.
I hope someone with similar experience could share with me whether or not a masters degree in China would be recognized/valued if I want to stay and work in China in the future!!

Preferably yes,chinese degree are worth if you wanna work in china in future.Try to do it from some reputed university for safe side.
yes, especially a master degree from a well-known university.
Short answer is: depends on you.
Longer answer is, if you are interested in, want to learn about China, and want to stay in China then a Master degree in China makes sense.
However, in my experience the academic quality in China, even at top universities is very low, so what you get out of your degree is only up to your self. I would give the following tips:
1. Study and learn on your own, beyond the classes
2. Learn the language, you'll have time for it
3. Network, meet people, talk to people.
4. Often professors who teach foreign students are very well connected and my former class mate landed an amazing internship through one of our professors
5. Try to get some working experience in China through internships (check the current visa rules regarding internships and student visas)
6. Have 2 years of working experience, or leave a 2 year gap in your CV, it'll make getting a Z visa much easier when that time comes.
7. Network even more, like seriously.
