But a real question I have is, lets just say IF the U.S strikes the DPRK, so what would China ask foreigners in China to do? Leave or stricter rules or what? I can't picture China just doing nothing to us.

Trump Provokes China Again, Sends Another Destroyer To South China Sea

A US Navy destroyer sailed within 12 miles of an artificial island built by China in the South China Sea on Thursday, a "provocation" that threatens another angry response from the Chinese government and further complicating President Donald Trump’s efforts to align the Communist Party in his pursuit to find a diplomatic resolution to the North Korean crisis.

If North Korea does end up glowing in the dark I reckon there's a good chance they won't be the only ones.

I don't know if it's a good move calling time on Korea's nuke ambitions like this, maybe it is but if it's going to happen I wish it was anyone other than Trump making the decisions. The man just isn't mentally stable, intelligent or informed enough to be throwing stones at that hornet nest.

Interesting developments today.

Turnbill has gone all in with Trump.  I have no idea how that will go down with the good people of OZ.  But I do know the people of the UK were not happy when they saw Trump and our PM holding hands.

And China has laid it's cards on the table.  No pre-emptive attacks allowed.

A good move by China I reckon. A subtle flex of it's muscle to defuse the situation. I see Trump has gone back to tweeting about healthcare.

As I see it, it all comes down to how well Trump is doing with his approval rating.

The good news this morning is that some poll has said his approval rating is at 45%.  I know that because Trump tweeted it.  So we just need some newspaper to print false poll results to massage the Donalds ego, and we wont have more war.

Ohh. Someone needs to tell Trump and his advisors that twitter is banned in China. And I somehow doubt it is used in DPRK.

what really bothers me about this whole mess is the motivation of North Korea,

blackmail for more money, democrats do that but not trump

blackmail South korea to unite into North Korea, an Alice in Wonderland fantasy

Kim has been educated unless he bought his degree or threaten death to his professors

American has a national debt over 20 trillion, America want give him anything because we don't have the money to give and the wimpy cowardly democrats are not in power anymore to give him nuclear power technology to use against us later. War hawk republicans are running the country right now, for better or worse, he has no chance of getting anything,

So what is his motivation, to be a has been dictator and a new territory of China as the provincial governor, that would be a demotion from all the statues of him as a God. He may jealous of Iran getting 400 million in cash from Obama, he should have did all the shit when Obama was in power and the Obama would have kissed his ass and gave him anything he wanted, but those days are over, regardless of your political ideology, the present structure is not conducive for him to get any concessions, so why now, for what purpose, If he should succeed in destroying a business, political, or trade relationship between China and the United States, China is not going to thank him for screwing up their gravy train that has destroyed America's middle class and lifting many in China out of poverty. America is not going to help him if he pissed off China.

I just don't see a favorable outcome for North korea, no matter what side prevails because America is not being run right now by idealistic, elitists educators preaching world peace right now, the timing is very bad considering the current leaders.

If there ever is action, it probably wouldn't last for months, not even days, hours is more like it given the huge differences in military might.

UNLESS, china is behind it, backing North Korea with weapons in secret.

There is a good chance that this may turn out to be the case, given the leaps and bounds of North Korea's missile technology recently.

All along these years, China the World's Thug has been dying for war with the West, from CCP to their wumao zombies.

China and North Korea are in a way twin thugs, as both are communists in the bone.  But, one thing with thugs is they don't trust one another, using each other, sure, trust, no.

There is a good chance CCP uses DPRK as its foot soldiers, to see what military gadgets America has in its pocket that PRC still does not know about.  Fatty the Moron may actually fall for that, thinking Big Panda brother down south has him covered.  Wrong, CCP cannot care less if America wipes out the  entire population of North Korea, if you think mainlanders care about anything that lives (other than their own life, and their immediate family's) it only shows how ignorant you are about mainlanders, en masse speaking.

So, it is going to be interesting. If sooner or later you have to slap DPRK real hard, sooner is better in this case, don't let Fat Boy and his goons grow into Mighty Monster, feeding on Panda fried rice.

Xi Jinping notes .... on the matter:

China Warns Trump: "We Will Prevent A North Korea Regime Change"

"If the U.S. and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so"

What worries me is the lack of scientific analysis of capability..

I am not a rocket scientist, but I do know a bit about physics

The MSM is just accepting all the claims from the DPRK. Fat boy says he got a missile to 1500km, then 2500km. Space starts at 100 miles. Get your warhead there... it's a done deal. Hit anywhere you want. So long as you have a re-entry vehicle.

Can they do re-enrty? Do they have a war head? Can they direct it?

The simple answer, based on evidence... No

But CNN is making out that they can hit NY with a nuke.

Even the anti Trump news seems to want war.

This whole scenario is disgusting.

So the left says "please love us, we are good people, honest, we swear", to show you we mean no harm we will pull all nuclear weapons out of South Korea, 1992, unintended consequences, the west is  a bunch of wuss pussies, so North Korea escalates on the perceived weakness and everybody in Asia will have nuclear weapons soon and the problem became worse.

BUT, BUT, BUT, our intentions were noble, we on the left are always right, it's not our fault.

yea yea go get a sex change and leave me alone you stupid naive idiot, and when you see Jimmy Carter tell him thanks for negotiating under Bill Clinton to give North Korea there nuclear power source for the weapons that they promised not to develop to some useless democrat idiot that actually believed that crap.

I think the Americans should claim the Pacific Ocean based on the same principles that the CPP has claimed the South China Sea. The Americans have a much stronger position. All of it's Island are not artificial.

Great article on the last 25 years of wasted diplomacy in North Korea that achieved absolutely nothing. Both political parties spreading bullshit and did not even get a mushroom to grow.

As expected, Fox says Trumps rhetoric against the DPRK has gained him 7 approval points.

Fuckwit Trump says wow. Says millitary action against Venezualla is on the cards.

Gotta be worth an extra point.

The Pentagaon... erm.. fuck... what.

It gets more pythonesque.

Trump phones Guam. Wow wonderful place you have. I am fantastic. Good looking place you have there. I am fantastic. I filled your hotels for you. For free.

Trump had no idea Guam even existed. I bet he now has a team planning a Trump resort.

Tea party... no taxation.without representation.

Statehood should be on the cards for overseas territories I reckon. Starting with Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and maybe even Guam. They can serve, but they cant vote.

"Economically, China has been at war with the West since the 8Os"

Yep, waiting for the dumb fucks who run our countries to figure that out. Western countries are cutting each others' dicks off on trade (I include peaceful Asian countries like Japan, South Korea and Taiwan)

A:Hmmm - I'm sure I answered this (and some other posts...). What you don't seem to get is that an older population is bad for a country... the expenses in looking after the elderly (welfare, hospitals, etc) start taking up more of the tax cake - a cake that's getting smaller because there are less people contributing to it (ie, workers). From an earth impact perspective - good! But from most other perspectives - bad. -- Shining_brow
