Regardless of what trump accomplishes or if he gets nothing done,

for years the right has been attacked and called names and play the game of a press conference and deny and contrition, thinking, let's not upset the moderates by attacking, be a good little boy and not lower the level of decency.

Trump is a New Yorker, and that shit don't play, obama said they bring a knife, you bring a gun, Trump brings the tank and reverses and backs over you again.

I'm tired of right wing, pussies, boy scouts, and wimps, but i have a bias, I would be worse than this, attack their families, and protest at their homes also, the left has done this, he is actually being more patient than his constituents.

In New York, you judge a person by his actions and not his ideology, but in Washington DC, this will not work, It's an adjustment that has a learning curve, but I love the show so far. I think the patient Christian ethic of "turning the other cheek", "beneath the dignity", and "take the high road" is for suckers.

This little dust up with mourning Joe is comical, maybe he should get a good intern to give him blow jobs everyday and leave twitter alone, but then 42 million followers is about 2 times the average viewers on the three major networks, must be hard to work in a dying lost cause business. I always knew ahead of time when a company was going under and bailed out early, if you wait, you can't get a new job, but while your working it's better, i wonder if television will even be around in 20 years. I wonder if these journalists see the end coming or have tunnel vision.

retiredinchina:

I think a cool cat is the way to go, but you have to be the part and not fake it. Ironically, Jazz was an "in your face" rebellion against the music establishment at the time, though it was less arrogant and brash, than draining a swamp.

Yup, turning the other cheek is the most stupidest thing to do in front of abusers as this fans the twisted ego of these psychos to repeat and intensify their abusive efforts, because it gives them the impression they aren't getting through. Try that with mainland psychos to test this out. The book that teaches this cheek thing is cheeky and contaminated.

Putting them 6 ft under and send them back to their psycho creator is the only choice. They are born twisted btw, experienced kindergarten can spot them fairly easily. No amount of education can change their personality. Nature wins in this case.

I associate him more with Beijing opera.

retiredinchina:

yes, i dated a rich nice lady here once who loved Beijing Opera, but she discovered the cotton balls in my ears and I didn't get the Sugar Momma, but she was a tiger in the bedroom, very snobbish though, would never take the change from paying cash, said the money was dirty, her nose was dirty because it was so high above her head.

I see Trump as that guy who has walked into a bar full of drunken idiots. A drunk idiot starts shooting off his mouth at Trump and Trump just stand there taking it at first. Trump tries to go on his way, but the drunk insists on blocking his path. The drunk pushes Trump escalating the situation. Trump warns the drunk to stop or pay a price. The drunk takes a swing at Trump. Trump knocks the idiot out cold with one punch. His buddies pull out their knives. Trump pulls out his gun. One guy with the knife attacks and Trump lays waste to the bar. Then, Trump steps over the dead bodies, walks over to the bar, and calmly orders a beer.

Stiggs:

I suppose it's all a matter of perspective and how you look at things.

I see him as the loudest, most boorish drunk in the room.

He's being obnoxious, rude to the staff, he keeps grabbing the waitresses pussies then abusing them and calling them ugly when they slap his hand away.

He has been telling everyone how tough he is and how he's going to order a triple scotch and bully the little Mexican guy at the end of the bar into paying for it. When he finally swaggers up and pushes the Mexican he squares up to Trump, looks him his eye and tells him to fuck off. Trump slinks back to his chair while everyone in the bar laughs at him.

He's angry and resentful now and getting drunker. His stories are getting more and more unbelievable, he's contradicting himself and people are starting to roll their eyes and call him out on his bullshit. This makes him angrier and he swings a wild drunken punch at someone. He gets slapped and falls on his ass.

By now the whole bar is watching him stagger around talking nonsense and abusing people. He doesn't seem to notice that his fly is open and he seems to have pissed himself. Some people are still listening to his wild stories because he's putting their drinks on his tab but most of the bar are either openly laughing at him or are tired of him making a scene and are wondering when the cops will come and throw him in the drunk tank.

He throws another wild punch at someone and gets put on his ass again. He skulks off to the table where he's been buying everyone's drinks and sulks for a while, mumbling to himself about how he is showing everyone... yeah he's winning, in fact he's getting tired of all the winning he's doing. The drunks there roll their eyes and smirk a bit while they agree with him and put another round on his tab.

Stiggs: I assume that you are a Liberal thinking person politically. I say that not in a negative manner. Myself, I have always been more of a moderate, independent politically. I very seldom side with one party platform or another. I seldom affiliate myself with a one-sided social agenda. I have been known to change my opinion on various issues. I do not flip-flop just to be PC. I am definitely not PC in nature. Two quick examples: When Obama first ran, I liked the ideas of change that he spoke about, but I changed my thinking a few years after his election, realizing that I did not approve. I was also all for gun ownership and gun freedoms. Having lived in China, that opinion has been changed. I mention all this not to attack your views. I fully support anyone to have their own philosophies in life and live the life they deem acceptable, as long as it does not infringe upon my life. We all can agree to disagree with others in a respectful and honorable manner. So, thank you for the comment.

Nashboroguy. Thanks for your comment.

I don't really have a political stance as such, I'm probably a lot like you from how you describe yourself. Not PC at all, on some issues I might lean left, others right but mostly I'm somewhere in the middle and could change my mind if something changes.

I definitely don't align myself to any party, in fact I usually don't get involved in political discussions - just not interested, never have been.

Until Donald Trump came on the scene that is and American politics became the world's most popular reality show. This whole thing has been bizarre, and very compulsive viewing. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground, people either love or hate the guy and so there are some really interesting debates around it.

The people that support him, I do sort of understand it. I have a good friend who is a die hard republican, Trump all the way kind of guy who gets pissed off by liberals, anyone against wars, anyone who doesn't agree with him and especially people who are opposed to Trump. I'm the sort of person who just says what I think so he probably shouldn't bring up the topic when we're drinking beer. We had a great time getting drunk and pissing each other off and now we both think the other is a complete idiot as far as politics goes, and we probably both are idiots.

What I took away from the evening though was that a lot of Americans were sick of the current situation and the excessive PC nonsense and are desperate for change and Trump represents their hopes and beliefs. That I can identify with but I don't think Trump is the man for the job. My mate was getting pissed off at me because he sees anyone who doesn't believe in Trump as going against the change people want so much when it isn't that at all, it's just a lack of confidence in the guy hired to do the job.

Like you say though, people can and do disagree with each other which is cool, political discussions online would be as boring as hell if everyone agreed.

Cheers. wink

Stiggs some nice fiction there but written on the wrong side of town..it's more like Trump got the votes up to purchase the bar because all the locals couldn't get in their favorite watering hole anymore due to a bunch of urban hustlers looking to take over the town...So now Trump's the new owner and he's getting a lotta flack and cuss from the the "big" drinkers there who claim they got all kinds of rights 'cause they' "always" drank there as they rage an' rant on their way outta the door an' outta the establishment

Nah, the shareholders of the bar advertised the job and interviewed people. Most of them preferred someone else for the job but the local Russian mafia were able to fix it so Trump got the gig and he has been under suspicion of being in bed with them ever since.

He made some big promises in the interview but hasn't followed up on much yet. He got rid of some of the staff but replaced them with his own friends and family, who had no experience and no qualifications for the job.

When asked about the mistakes he's been making and the lack of progress on some of his bigger promises he has been blaming the previous manager who he resents and holds a massive grudge against, and the woman who also applied for the job. That, combined with his nightly boorish behavior obviously hasn't impressed the shareholders or the bar patrons. They have been questioning his integrity, suitability for the job and even his sanity because of all his erratic behavior.

Shareholders for a bar?..One more reason the locals want the establishment out...so they brought in the onorthodox wrangler who shoots from the hip

Stiggs:

... and that is completely understandable, it's time for a change.

But the problem is the wrangler they thought was going to clean the place up is not up to the job. He has no experience running a bar, his integrity is very questionable and quite frankly he just isn't that bright.

Every time he shoots from the hip it's late at night when he's at his drunken, belligerent worst and he either shoots himself in the foot or he shoots one of his employees who is stepping in to try to help him.

"Not the right person"..is exactly what I mean by aristocratic ostentation...he's on the ugly side of Hollywood...but in Hollywood it's the sleaze that pays the bills...an everyone who is anyone there knows it and they despise it

...but remember it's the business of persuasion. America is ready to go apeshit. You don't think he makes a fine hairy ape?

It's nice to argue BS. But let's look at facts. Has he done anything on trade with China, no!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy with his booting out illegals Why was Saudi not included in the visa ban? But it's progress. The tax on companies making money overseas does need to come down.

You can't ignore the fact that he's a liar and taking credit for things he didn't do.

He is a security risk, look at what he does with regards to Russia. He is clearly corrupt, he is now kissing China's ass after getting a business/ legal win in China, seems that was his only goal with regards to China.

look at what he says now.

SeanS - your metaphor is flawed... it presumes that there is "something to get". And, when it's about Trump, there isn't!

What Stiggs and Engles wrote above nails it... you guys who voted for Trump, and still follow him around like a sick puppy, have been right-royally conned... and don't want to admit it.

Your best hope now is for an impeachment... it will at least show the Right has some sense of responsiblity.

NO, Clinton would not have been better than Trump ... but she wouldn't have had the world laughing so hard at you (crying, perhaps). With Clinton, there'd be backdoor deals and more fighting... but you wouldn't get as much twitter-crap. The lies wouldn't be quite so obvious.

And, yeah, it sucks that those were your only two options.

seansarto:

One point is that the USA doesn't have to care what the world thinks about it no more than any boss does...It can go on laughing or crying or gossiping all it likes..but this boss is your boss's boss now

Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
