Q: Is Yahoo being blocked?
I usually use the the US version i just punch in Yahoo.com but these past 2 days it hasnt been smooth...does anyone have a similar problem?
Honestly, hand on heart, I didn't know that Yahoo was still a "thing".
All the internet is being interfered with whilst they do their new 5 year plan. I hope next year's 5 year plan doesn't cause as much trouble.

I wonder if they plan turning the internet back on before they do that.
I can get the American yahoo at work no trouble
but it seems the vpn is not working again.
Without getting technical, because I can't, I would just say that my internet has been slow for about the past week,,, slow and some sites/pages not loading which used to load no problem. anywhere from 25% generally slower all the way down to some just not loading so have to reboot. Like I said,, I don't know exactly how to explain it,, let's just say slower. Yahoo is one of them, it does all 3 things,,, Loads normally, loads slowly, doesn't load. Internet sux.

Yahoo has been circling the drain for a couple of years now
As the time gets closer for it to actually go down the drain
it's ability to keep things running smoothly is much less
During the nearly 8 years I have been here
Yahoo has really gone downhill
meaning there has not been any considerable updates during that time
and it's ability to deal with the Chinese so it can remain a viable alternative to the others
has defiantly decreased
So yes - from time to time there are difficulties in getting emails from Yahoo.

I do not really have a problem with the main site at .com. However accessing yahoo email is patchy sometime connecting and some times not, has got worse over the last two or three weeks. I have had a few messages from my vpn supplier saying they are aware of further crackdowns but are working to get the service back to its normally reliable state.
Google maps is working in GZ. I will take that over yahoo any day.
Yahoo is the quintessential arrogant American website. Even if you are laughed at for using it, the CCP will still put aside time to hamper it.
Yes, my main e-mail is @yahoo.co.uk, laugh if you like. It has served me fine. Not perfect, though.
In China, sometimes i couldn't access the main page, but if i went straight to my mail it would be OK. And sometimes it would be blocked.
In Germany, I could only view it on laptop, the mobile kept getting error pages. But it was remedied a month or so ago. In Netherlands, I never had access problems.
I got a .co.uk e-mail back in 2000, when I registered from Holland. Yahoo had no dutch site back then. Now, I like it for the 'ethnic' flavour. i'm a brit with a british-ish e-mail.

Just curious, why do you say that? I'm not American so it doesn't offend me or anything but I have a yahoo email address myself.
