Depending on your home country, you can easily get a new one in Hong Kong.  It takes about 3 days time.

Jona:

Thanks John, Im guessing you've gone throught this process? I hold a EU passport (And Im not Greek)...so I should be OK.

Try Forever Bright Trading Company in Hong Kong.  They are about the best agent that is out there.  I have found them vey reliable in the past. You can email them the particulars and they will give you a direct answer as to your situation, etc., etc.  It's also a no visa, money-back guarantee kind of a company.

If you aslready had two extensions, the only way out is to get a new one.  No more extensions are allowed unless you have a very good "guangxi".

And yes, one alternative would be to get a new "L" visa from Hong Kong.  But that does present two distint disadvantages to you, and they are:
1.- Sometimes at the Chinese Embassy in Hong Kong, they are reluctant to issue tourists visas to foreigners there, and request that you must go to your home country to get it.  In fact, it is posted on some of their walls, and ignored many times.
2.-  If they do agree to give you a visa, it would be normally for 6 months, one or two entries, and 30 days stay in general, which is what a regular tourist arriving in Hong Kong would want if desiring to visit the Mainland.  If that satisfies you, then do get it in Hong Kong.

Good luck to you
