Q: Any idea about doing business in China?

I have established my own Trading Company specialized in sourcing and supplying Chinese products worldwide. Now, I'm facing one challenge, I would like to deal with manufacturers only so that I can give my customers the lowest possible price according to their budget and requirements.

What is a good way to establish partnership with Chinese manufacturers? especially those in Shenzhen, since my company do electronic products.

You can get more information about us at http://traderseasyway.com

Any good advice will be appreciated, thanks all.

The Canton Fair would be a good place to start. I believe it's in April each year. You can also go onto the various websites available if you google it. However, if your original idea was to advertise your services on this site then I must say it's the wrong site to choose because most of us here are in the teaching profession save a few who are in other trades.

The canton fair mostly is full of traders not manufacturers. If you want to export the best ides is that you stright look for factories.

Canton fair is twice a year. Next one is 15th October to 4th November, split into 3 phases. Each phase is split into separate product categories.

Your biggest problem will be getting your message across to the supplier.

you say red they will give you blue

you say vertical and they supply horizontal

you say the sky is blue they say you need your eyes tested

Take it from personal expirence that you need to watch every part of the process or you get something close but not what you wanted

good luck to you

sorrel:

they could also use inferior materials in manufacture - which could possible breach health and safety regulations in your target country.

Smaller manufacturers will cut corners to maximize their profits

Yes please. I have Idea for you. Do not do any start up business in China. If you are ready for be screwed and some lose, why not. If you are ready to screw up people in your country, where you want to sell your products, okay. Yeah, go for it. make few bucks and be hated by those whom factory in your hometown was closed down due your great idea of outsourcing your crap in china.

And , because you seems to have no idea about business in china. do not even think about that, save those money you want invest and spend them on good beer at least, or fund some project back home ...

This is risky business friend. If you get too sucessful soe Chinese wil find a way to get you deported and take over or busines.  See this other thread and then read the book "Mr.China".

A:What is 'formal offer letter'? Only legally accepted employment offer I know is a Contract! ... so, you just don't accept and sign the contract with the lower salary! Email exchanges, verbal discussions and other promises between you and employer aren't legally binding, so legal action isn't recommended. Mainly legal effective thingy is employer's stamped and signed contract! ... and after you ink it, employer can/will use your signed contract to apply for all necessary documents at Chinese governmental agencies as Working permit and all ... It would be better for you to not accept an employment with such an employer, IMO 'cause you'll experience similar troubles by employer won't respect the contract later on. -- icnif77
