Q: Anyone have experience of returning to work in their home country?

After my contract is up here I'm going traveling before returning to normal life. Has anyone found the transition from a low productivity environment (entire days spent surfing the net etc.) to a Western working context difficult to readjust to? How did you get back into things?

The expectation to actually be productive at home (neg) is offset by the fact that you're working within your own cultural expectations (pos), so, overall, there's less chance of your head exploding on a daily basis.

I found being nervous about it made me work even harder, so don't worry, you'll be fine.

I already have several jobs back home that I can go to. Doesn't matter I won't ever lose the job back home so it is not that hard of a transition. I am although trying to find more opportunities and that will be done by continuing to go to school and taking up another trade in a technical school!
