Q: Are foreign media quicker to show gruesome footage of Chinese people than Western people?

I ask this because the video showing the 2 year old getting knocked down in south China is being shown by an increasing number of foreign media including CNN, but at the same time, I don't remember ever being shown similarly gruesome footage involving Westerners. Am I wrong to think that maybe they are faster to show horrific footage involving Chinese people than Western people? Maybe I'm off mark but I would genuinly like to know.

The media on each side makes sure to exposes as much dirty laundry as they can about the other side. It gives the people the horror stories that keeps them glued to the tv, and by doing it to another culture lessens the number of complaints they will receive.

I noticed a long time ago western media is quick to show gruesome footage of people who are not from developed nations. Do you think we'd see dead bodies in the paper if they were Americans? Newp.
