Q: Are there any laws that would not allow people to go skinny dipping in China?

I knew some places in the states they wouldn't allow people to go skinny dipping, but what about in China. Is there a law that would violate people from jumping into a lake or river and go skinny dipping? The last case I heard was a guy that was exposing himself to the public in a park and he got sent to jail.

You kind of answered your own question. Anyways, I once saw a crazy old guy naked near a bus stop.

Wait, you know "some" places in America where skinny dipping is discouraged.... so how many places in America do you know where it is allowed?

On nude beaches, its just called swimming. Skinny dipping, though fun and common, is illegal in any public place. And Im sure the laws are similar here.

Not sure about it's legality but I guess it would be very unpopular in China because when men swim in cold water it causes a certain part of their anatomy to shrink substantially. This is not normally a problem when it is covered by a pair of Budgie Smugglers (known as Bee Hummingbird Smugglers in China) but when you go skinny dipping it can be an embarrassment even for the average western man. I can't even imagine what the effects on a Chinese man would be.

Oddly enough cold water has the reverse effect on women's "headlights" and that is a sight to behold.

Best nonsensical question ever!!!!!!!!!!!cheeky

I do not think it matters that much like in the states no one cares in Particular about it. at all it really just depends on where you are, if you are in a tourist area then it matters, but if you are anywhere else then no one cares.indecision

PS I welcome you to the brotherhood of those who swim naked.cool

Probably not. People here in the countryside call it "bathing."

*Some* places, Mr NC? Most places don't allow it, meaning if you are caught, you'll be fined or whatever. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen and that you can't get away with it. Depends on who is on the beach with you at the time. And while there are nude beaches in the states, there aren't nearly enough, not even in your beloved Cali.

I have read of nude 2 nude beaches in China. One is on the China Sea, the other on a lake or river or something towards the west. I don't know that the one inland would be... palatable for swimming. So go ahead... strip down and dive in.

When I first visited China, I saw a nude beach in Sanya.  Check it out.

BTW, there are at least 7 in Cali, 7 in Florida, and 7 in Hawaii and even 3 in New York.

In China (so I've been informed), public nudity in and of itself is NOT illegal.

But, if you annoy the wrong people, then they can try to get you on other charges instead... like corrupting the moral integrity of people, making a public scene, that sort of stuff.

I constantly see men changing clothes openly in public places like parks, or even besides the road. True. they are not swimming nor skinny dipping but still...

Well, if you're planning on walking around naked in Shenzhen, I'd be careful:

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
