Q: Becoming a fulltime housewife

My husband said that women should not work.

Growing up in the modern society this is a little bit shock to hear at first.

I also make good money and have a master’s degree.

But then I thought about it, I think being a full-time housewife makes total sense.

Coz if I make more than my husband does, he will not be happy and I will not be happy.

Ancient men went out to hunt and women stayed at home and raised the pigs and they were happy.

Men want to be men and women want to be women and men want to be the providers and be appreciated by women. And this can be done if the man goes to work and takes care of his woman.

Also, if the woman doesn’t go to work, she cannot divorce her husband easily or blow his money coz she must think of them as a team.

I will be staying at home and be a sweet wife, taking care of my husband and the house. Making all kinds of food and baking cakes. Planting flowers and tidying the room. Learning the advanced massage techniques. And when my husband comes home, set the hot water for bath for him, give him massages, and dinner will be ready. Dress sexy and make love to him all night long.

Women’s Liberation? Fuck that. I just want to be a submissive little woman.

So I went to talk to all my male friends and they all agreed. (Surprisingly, men just want women to be women and take care of the home and that’s it!)

After all, my husband travelled all the way to China to find a submissive woman like me and I should not disappoint him with going to work, right?

So I just want to interview you guys on here and see about your opinions even though your opinions don’t matter. wink

I hate people who are subservient to others, and do everything for the other person.

I strongly believe that everyone should have their own life, own interests, own careers, own everything...

I was engaged for a while to a woman who wanted to play that sort of role... I couldn't stand it! I like to cook, and make my woman happy - just as much as I think she should cook and want to make me happy... it all goes both ways! Not this A does X and B does Y thing...

Some can do it, others cannot. It depends on your personality.

Plenty on these on the internet.  This one is OK.  http://listofmarriagebureaus.com/articles/pros_cons_being_married_to_housewife.php

Bear in mind, a pro can be/become a con depending on the person, eg  freedom can end up becoming boredom, then joining all kinds of clubs, classes, volunteer work groups........so you APPEAR to be "busy as hell" and even stressed out.

Trial and error? Sure, if you can afford to.

Oh Viki that's very sweet of you to give guys on here false hopes that I am still available.

...but married women like you and I should really stop leading men on even if they are cute, young and white as snow.

Or maybe...we shouldn't...coz... WHY SHOULD WE!!!

Let us forever be the single Chinese women shopping husbands on ecc in everyone's heart then!!

And let us also both become full-time housewives, you can move to my neighborhood and we'll have soooo much time to gossip about everything in real life!

Don't. Don't ever leave a high paying job. You need money to keep your kids happy. The more you make, the happier they can be. Being able to afford good things, having a solid security, and having the funds for college sorted, medical insurance covered, etc.

More money is good.

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
