You see I'm an Australian Teacher 10 months into an 12 month teaching contract but some personal issues have arisen which wants me to break the contract and return to Australia next month (11 months) and return to China in the New Year. I know my current company has a current 30 day contract termination notice which i hope to ride out but how can i find a new teaching job and get a new visa in Australia so i can return back in time to China in the New Year(beginning of january) should i start looking for jobs now any advice or suggestions thanks and how will the procedures for getting the visa same as before.

Why don't you ask School for 'unpaid (emergency) leave'?

icnif77:

You should have new employer, before you quit your present job. New employer will be able to extend your Residence permit, what will shorten your stay in Australia (and apply for new Z visa from scratch).

Speak to your school and see what they can do.

Worst case is the school will allow you to leave and you may need to forfeit your bonuses.

Just don't do a midnight-run otherwise they will blacklist you. If you can show that you handed in a resignation and had valid reasons (plus no complaints from students) you should be alright.

A:It's up to the employer if they want to hire you that's fine most cities today require you to take a health check every year when renewing the working visa if you pass the health check and you get your visa renewed each year I know teachers that are in their 70s and they're still doing great -- ironman510
