the apartment at night? How can dogs be such a popular pet when the vast majority of these folks live crammed together in a small apartment? It just makes me wonder which of the three occurs mostly: I. someone gets up and takes the dog outside to pee in the middle of the night. II. dog holds it until next day. III. dog pees on floor.
Yeah, I know a weird subject, but everyone is saying ECC doesn't talk about stuff anymore! Well, this is the weirdest I can think up and it definitely has a 'china' component. So, chime in and lets get to the bottom of this Canine Conundrum!
I always wondered that myself. And not just at night...
I lived in a building where a family had a couple of beautiful ... I think they're called malamutes. Awesome dogs and perfect if you have a farm or something in a cold climate and are able to exercise them, they're a breed that needs a LOT of exercise and attention.
These dogs were probably left alone in the apartment all day, taken out for a shit in the elevator or front of the building in the morning and evening and that was their exercise. The rest of the time they barked. Constantly, and probably did what any two highly energetic, frustrated dogs will do when locked in a confined space their whole life - they would have trashed the place, shed hair like they were being plucked and pissed the neighbours off.
God knows what the owners, who obviously knew nothing at all about dogs were thinking when they bought them but it was probably something along the lines of how impressed the neighbours would be when they saw these two expensive pets.
