Q: Do HK & China hold an exciting future fr the game of Cricket ?

‘A burgeoning Twenty20 tournament and growing interest from abroad is turning Hong Kong into one of Asia's fastest-rising cricketing destinations -- and could help the sport make inroads into mainland China.’

‘The big prize for Hong Kong, and the International Cricket Council, lies in mainland China, whose only cricket ground sits not far across the border in the sprawling city of Guangzhou.’ ‘The ICC describes the Asian giant as a "strategic priority"’.

Big Bash League should play Hong Kong round, Cricket NSW proposes

Lanning, a World Cup-winning captain, was also impressed with the development of the Chinese team without some of the amenities the full-member cricketing nations are used to.

“Qualification for a World Cup is the end goal, I can see the potential for that to happen, they’ve had limited coaching and limited game situations, they were a couple of wins away from the recent one so it’s really important to get people like myself and the ICC into these countries.”

Cricket developmnt seems to b gatherin' pace in China. If n when China becomes an ICC full membr wth Test status, one can imagine the tremendous growth potential of the game (wth 12 major countries bein cricketing giants along wth many othr associate/affiliatd countries of ICC). What say ?

I reckon cricket could be onto a winner in China. Ma Yun's idea to get China into the ruby world probably won't work withoit some social changes that allow boys to play a physical game. Cricket, on the other hand needs practice and almost amyone can get the hang of it. The ubiquitous sledging in cricket will be the biggest obstacle for mainland people to overcome.

The government in China will only allow cricket to be played if the googly is renamed baiduly and Slow Left Arm Chinaman bowlers are banned for being racist and hurting the feelings of the PRC.

A:Wow, you really found that nitpicky talking point that elevates the fossil fuel industry to the same level as the interests of humanity. Isn't it all just a "liberal" scam, if you don't look too closely at the absence of logic? "Yes, it must be. My masters are hinting that that's what I should believe!"

You've made it clear you are consciously ignoring the pollution and global warming. Since your handlers, the conservative establishment whose dismantling of the carbon credit system and environmental destruction you choose to ignore, have made it clear you should bark in this direction, you are eager to please!

Such an admirably domesticated, dependable, subservient human. I'm sure your handlers will throw you a bone while they bring home the bacon for themselves. You're so obedient, you deserve a doggie cookie! Who's a good boy? You are! Yes, you are. U-S-A! Woof woof woof! -- coineineagh
