I think, mandatory IQ test should be required, before access to keyboard is granted!

Yeh, I got down as far as number 9, then gave up. Jesus, that's a lot of facts. Are they all true? How the hell should I know? Was surprised by the one that said that one in every 5 people is Chinese though. Jeez, i've got 4 brothers, plus me 'that' makes 5; there's Anthony, Christopher, Robert and Li Xiao Wang. Hmmm, I dunno...it could be Li Xiao Wang...but nope, I think it's Christopher.

Yeh, ok, that's a Tommy Cooper joke. I'm a plagiarist. But like they say; Poor artists imitate, 'great' artists steal.

Guilin Raf, it stated that some historians dated the start of the Chinese civilization to 6,000 BC that makes 8,000 years of history. Just don't tell them we'll never hear the end of it. Not so sure as to the accuracy of some of these "facts", in one we are told that the drink of tea was discovered some 2,700 years ago by a leaf falling into the emperors' cup of hot water and later on the discovery of silk being due to a cocoon falling into a cup of tea at approximately 3,000 years ago.  Also the date for the waterwheel is, I feel, open to argument as I am sure that I have read somewhere of the ancient Sumerians using waterwheels  earlier than this. I also think if they had discovered so many things so early, and I know they did discover a lot, why did the country not progress so much quicker. I guess it is just another Chinese conundrum. It seems as though these things were discovered but overall everything else stood still, or at least moved very slowly.

"Toilet paper was invented in China in the late 1300s. It was for emperors only"

Apparently it still is only for emperors, judging by the lack of it in the bathrooms here.

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
