Q: Does Changchun have a beer garden?

I'm heading to Changchun on Sunday or Monday to meet up with a friend who is coming down from Harbin and we are looking for a good place to drink.  Neither of us know the place and the only bar I know is Stroller's (because I'm a regular in the Shenyang branch).  So if anybody could point us in the right direction of a good bar or a bar street/area that would be swell.  Also, any recommendations of cheap hotels would be appreciatedwink

Hello

i live in changchun

i don't know of any specific beer gardens but you can go to grandpa's which is in xikang hutong

that's where a lot of expats hang out, beer is cheap like 6 rmb or something

also i know that in the area close to faw factories there are a lot of good bars that brew their own beers but it's far from where i live so i can't advise

how cheap do you want the hotel to be?

Something along the lines of a Home Inn, Hanting Express or Motel 168, reasonably close to the drinking area and/or train station.

Thanks for the help.

A:Yes, you can get legal ET job by the Chinese Labor law.  Problem is, most Chinese managers and recruiters don't know, they can obtain Working permit for a non-native English teacher with BA completed in a native English country. I'd suggest, you mention possibility of legal employment for non-native English teacher with degree completed in a native English country at the first interview. It's a tough time in China at your example, IMO.  Most recruiters and hiring managers in China know only "ET must hold a native English passport ..", so your job application get dismissed right there. The other thing is, never stop sending your CV to the job offers doesn't matter if no replies. At my time in China (pre-2017), I'd send CVs to every offer posted daily.I've even disregarded advert's requirement 'native English passport holder', and ... I got a reply or two in a month time. Take the last paragraph as a rule! Good luck!   -- icnif77
