Yes you can, but I recommend you ask your wife to help you look for an agent to help you get one in QingYuan, its a city 1 hour from you, they are laxed out there. She can look it up on Baidu. GuangZhou is gonna be packed and busy, hope you studied the 100 question book and yes the test has English.

Good Luck

Here’s how to convert your driving license in Guangzhou. Sorry for formatting as it’s copued from wechat messages.

Prepare: Find a copy of the test (or some kind of sample test) online. Your foreign drivers license should be at least 3 years old and your Chinese visa duration of stay should be valid for at least 120 days.  Step one: Obtain certified translations of your passport and foreign driving license from the Guangzhou Notary Public Office Licensing Hall (200元 for English, higher cost for less common languages) or any 公证处 gong zheng chu (notary office).  Step two: Prepare documents including passport, drivers license, residence permit, certified translations, photocopies of passport, drivers license, visa & residence permit and go to the DMV in Huaguan Rd, Tianhe District 广州市天河区华观路 (fair way out of town). Swipe a ticket on your way in.  Step three: Take your photo using the photo booth: 30元  Step four: Complete a medical checkup and eye test - (medical checkup involved asking my height only). 20元 Go to 岑村 in Tian He and you'll see plenty of places offering the medical exams. They basically just test your eyes. While you're there you can also get the photos you'll need for your license 陶源园艺场位于环境优美的广州市天河区岑村火炉山森林公园 Taoyuan Garden, situated at the beautiful Forest Park fire Cen Cun, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City  Step five: Take your documents along with medical printout and photos to the 车管所 che gan suo (vehicle administrative office) and complete the first of three rounds of administrative formalities (lots of forms, stamps, signatures) which concludes in payment of the test fee (as usual magnetic card only), possibly need to book the time to take the test. 80元  Step six: After being given the test documents, head upstairs to level 6 and sit the test. You'll need 90/100 to pass and have 45 minutes to sit the test (check out chinesedrivingtest.com for practice questions). If you fail the first try, you have the opportunity to try once more for free on the same day. Study is essential and you will need to know some basic chinese on signage to understand a portion of the questions.  Step seven: If you are successful, congratulations! Collect a document from the exam supervisor and head downstairs for another round of administration.  Step eight: You now have the opportunity to wait for your license to be printed or arrange for EMS to courier it to your house in the coming days at a cost of 20元.  Remember this information is specific to Guangzhou and the process may be completely different in other areas. If you are in Guangzhou and the above sounds too much hassle - PM me and I can help point you in the right direction.  SOURCES: Reddit: Get a driving license in Guangzhou from November 2015 https://www.reddit.com/r/China/comments/3my9u6/get_a_driving_license_in_guangzhou/  GZ Stuff: How do I apply for a driving license? from March 9, 2016 http://www.gzstuff.com/forum/topics/how-do-i-apply-for-chinese-driving-license  GZ Stuff: Chinese Driving License August 23, 2013 http://www.gzstuff.com/forum/topics/chinese-driving-license Tony Baily says Nance Li is a reliable agent and says if you have an iPhone there's an up to date app for practising for the test: http://www.dlen.decode-china.com  Practice web site http://www.chinese-driving-test.com/test/  2013 Chinese Written Driving Test Preparation Kit May 20, 2013 by James Melendez http://www.scribd.com/doc/142551785/2013-Chinese-Written-Driving-Test-Preparation-Kit  Chinese Govt web site http://cgs.stc.gov.cn/Article/fwzn/  Motorcycle license obtained in Zhongshan http://www.gzstuff.com/forum/topics/gas-scooter-moped?commentId=1345793%3AComment%3A7602247  *** all this assumes that your registered place of residence allows motorcycles. 1. A:Wow, you really found that nitpicky talking point that elevates the fossil fuel industry to the same level as the interests of humanity. Isn't it all just a "liberal" scam, if you don't look too closely at the absence of logic? "Yes, it must be. My masters are hinting that that's what I should believe!"

You've made it clear you are consciously ignoring the pollution and global warming. Since your handlers, the conservative establishment whose dismantling of the carbon credit system and environmental destruction you choose to ignore, have made it clear you should bark in this direction, you are eager to please!

Such an admirably domesticated, dependable, subservient human. I'm sure your handlers will throw you a bone while they bring home the bacon for themselves. You're so obedient, you deserve a doggie cookie! Who's a good boy? You are! Yes, you are. U-S-A! Woof woof woof! -- coineineagh
