Thank you! ... butT ... since I'm being a cheapo (or 'buy low, sell high' guy) and we're nearing or we're already in a recession, I'm waiting for the discounts across the board ... as my first one "BTC/USDT @US$18.5k level instead of buying in @69k yearly high level", which is over 270% discount. I am so smart ...

Technical chart traders, we're still waiting for the lower support levels for entering @BTC.

The Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies

Professor John J. Mearsheimer will discuss the current Russian invasion on Ukraine whilst exploring the potential causes and consequences of the crisis.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qciVozNtCDM

... Mearsheimer is exposing lies of MSM about ras-Putin and Ruskis overall ...

You'll also hear the reasons why ras-Putin was right and forced into invading Uki on Feb. 24th, 2022, and get a grasp of how academic EU see the conflict in progress. Q&A at the end is also good.

The fart tax isn't popular with farmers obviously, but  almost half the country's total greenhouse gas emissions come from agriculture, mainly methane. In other words, farty cows are a major greenhouse polluter here.

Greenhouse gases are causing climate chaos around the world, most countries have made a commitment to reduce emissions for obvious reasons. NZ isn't the only country with big dairy herds either, it's a major polluter in a lot of countries.

Recently there has been a lot of research done here into how to reduce methane from livestock with some very promising results. I'm sure the fart tax and all the talk leading up to it over the years was a big incentive to making that research a priority, and for farmers to implement those new methods. That research could also be applied to other countries.

A fart tax might sound ridiculous, but only if you choose not to try to understand the issues that brought it about.

"Russia is done with the West. The divorce is nearly complete"- Analysis

You can decide for yourselves whether Russia is writing checks they can’t cash, but in the words of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov telling the BBC bluntly, “We do not care about the eyes of the West.” Lavrov has always been the soul of politeness and discretion when dealing with European media.

His open hostility towards his BBC interviewer was not only palpable, it was hard to argue with. He followed that up with:

“I don’t think there’s even room for maneuver left anymore,” Lavrov replied.

“Because both [Prime Minister Boris] Johnson and [Foreign Secretary Liz] Truss say publicly: ’We must defeat Russia, we must bring Russia to its knees. Go on, then, do it.”

Russia’s leadership never talks in such openly blunt terms. It’s almost like Lavrov was channeling comedian Dennis Miller who used to say, “Feeling froggy, take that leap.”

This is clearly the biggest geopolitical middle finger in the post WWII period.

Yes, I've heard that. But, I'm not in the EU so... it's not something that concerns me. To be honest I never even think about it and don't follow the Russia drama much.

But, you EU types are doing your part to make the world a better place and if you're going to be cold in winter that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Germany Fears Russia Could Shut Nord Stream 1 Within Weeks

Saturday, Jun 25, 2022 - 11:35 AM ...You have to LOL at the date ...

Thanks for good wishes, but as you know I am an experienced guy. Winter experienced ... I still remember my first gig in China in Huachuan, Heilongjiang. I was there during the winter (Oct.- Apr.) and ... I lived on -33*C, i.e. at such cold temp. when you spit outdoors, ice cube hits the ground.

While in Huachuan, I was wearing every winter garment doubled.

But yeah, my dear stipud European politicians. What surprised me, even pretty reasonable Krouts went for the ride without too much-o of objections and switching back to burning coal at winter cold.

I won't mention, EU was a staunch proponent of clean air 'nd environment just few months ago ... battery-ed cars are everywhere here ...

Now, if you'd study impact of Western sanctions had on Russia, it's all opposite then first planned and desired ... and I am convinced, nobody or not a living thing can beat Ruskis in Uki. All Western arms help Ukis' get, it's just a move to empty armaments storages, so we (they/US/ZATO) can produce more new stuff, i.e. fight Ruskis to the last Ukrainian.

Times we live ...

Chess game?

This whole shitshow seems to me like one side thinking they're playing scrabble, the other side trying to play poker while someone keeps telling me what their drunk uncle, who knows a little about ballroom dancing but not much else, thinks of the latest chess moves.

And I don't even follow chess, I'm just trying to watch a movie.

Heilongjiang? Yeah I've been there. It was the first time I ever experienced cold like that, you learn fast how to dress properly for it.

Harbin isn't bad for the visit ... nice, interesting Russian and EU architecture beside Chinese in old part of the town, but in winter time, you want to stay out of it.

I have an international weather page ('timeanddate.com') constantly open on my puter and sometimes at winter I look for the weather conditions in Harbin. On the other, Ruski side of Heilongjiang is Siberia ...

I would extend contract I had at that time in Huachuan (6h drive from Harbin through snow, ice and cold ...) just for the doubled salary, but they didn't offer it, he he. I really can't take too cold weather ...

Whatever Ruskis do, especially since they whisked "Up-Yours" from HK in 2013 and support to Assad in Syria in 2015, every their move is interpreted through the chess game on different boards over the Internet ... and in real, crisis in Uki should be handled much differently from the western side, butT .. USA started all the manure in Uki and today, USA openly states, their goal is to weaken Russia, which is a nuclear-supper-power ...

I wrote somewhere at the start of Russian invasion that all USA help Ukis get is a payback to Ruskis for Syria ... he he.

If you use a normal reasoning, next in the cards is a human annihilation ... even without the inclusion and discussion about big Ruski's comrade China.

Now, who's holding the losing hand??

I still remember and think often about how the first war in Iraq started soon after Hussein declared in 2003, he doesn't want US$ anymore as a payment for his oil ... vey similar process going on for the last 5-years, i.e. dethroning and replacing of US$ as a Reserve currency ...

This poor guy has a problem replying in English when women ask for a straight answer.

He clearly needs help.
(note that I have not reported him as I live in hope that he responds in a civil manner, and I would as the Admin to leave his posts up. Thanks)

Russia's Rebranded McDonald's Sold 120,000 Burgers On Opening Day

Dasvidanya, McDonald's. Privet, Vkusno & Tochka.  angel

SAT JUN 25, AT 5:00 PM

"We have never seen such daily turnover in the whole time McDonald's has worked in Russia," Vkusno & Tochka CEO Oleg Paroev said.

Since the restaurants lost all rights to use McDonald's branding and trademarks, Vkusno & Tochka—which roughly translates to "Tasty and That's It"—is a completely new brand with a new logo, color scheme and names for the burgers and shakes. "

That must be a national hamburger pride ...

A:No, I wasn't saying Trudeau is a doctor. I'm forgetting this is a forum read by people with differing levels of English ability - my bad - I know the use of analogies can confuse some people so for those readers who somehow think my point was about Trudeau being a doctor I'll re-phrase it. 1. There's an emergency situation requiring action to deal with that emergency. 2. Someone (Trudeau in this case, acting under the advice of medical professionals) takes action, it's not convenient for anyone but there isn't a choice, something has to be done to stop the emergency becoming even worse. 3. The actions seem to work, the emergency situation is contained for now but there's no way of knowing if it's permanent, or if the emergency situation will become a serious threat again. 4. Trudeau tells people it's safe to ease back on those actions now, but if the emergency situation does become serious a threat again they may need to take action again to deal with it. 5. For extra clarity.....   * emergency situation ; in this case refers to the covid pandemic.   * action ; refers to covid measures. This seems like a simple, common sense process to me and one that could be (and is) applied to most emergency situations.   -- Stiggs
