Q: Have you been to a patriotic KTV, coming to a city near you?

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/china-ban-karaoke-songs-illegal-225309639.html

You must only sing wholesome moral songs, all others are banned. Heil Hitler

No, never ... 'cause I was reading all yer KTV bashings here ...

... but in real, I've always longed for some nice Chinese patriotic tunes ...

They have rap songs at KTV? Nobody ever mention this here.

I'd sing Baha Men's "Who Ate the Dogs Out .., Hu, Hu ..."

My Baha's tune   could be also considered patriotic ... in China ..

"... hu, hu ..."

P. S.

I'll file a complaint to UN Assembly, if this reply gets harmonized ... surprise

To this day I can't hear Country Roads by John Denver or Yesterday Once More by The carpenters without thinking of Chinese KTV places, I can almost smell the sweet popcorn and taste the warm, fake beer.

When I first went to China, if you went into one of those places you were almost guaranteed to hear someone belting out one of those tunes. Oh, and the Titanic theme song too.

Haha KTV places...

So many times, after a night in a restaurant with friends the Chinese girls would make the KTV call, so we'd relocate.

The decor is almost always tacky, the beer is warm and usually fake, you get a plate of fruit (with tomatoes), a bowl of popcorn and a bowl of sunflower seeds, there are always some fat shirtless guys in the next room chain smoking. The girls get right into singing the soppy love songs, the guys drink warm beer and flirt with the girls, I've had many a crazy night learning Chinese drinking games with workmates you didn't know even drank... good times.

That's French ... fruit with tomatinas ...

I'd say, I've never been to KTV 'cause I was almost always the only foreigner in the city.

In Fuk, where I was in company of Oz and USA teacher, they didn't have KTV. There wasn't one in Wulumuqi, either.

Wulumuqi is Chinese name for the capital of Xinjiang Urumqi.

I guess, KTV might be prohibited or sumtin' in Xinjiang.

Chinese had never mention anything about the joint.

I ain't fan of the singing anyhow, so that maybe was also the reason for ignoring it.

I hate singing and get annoyed when people try to push me to sing, had some good times hanging out and letting the pop sensation wannabes do their thing though.

No unpatriotic songs. Whores are okay though.
